Sucks about LiquidRc, but your truck is looking uber sexy

BL_RV0 01.26.2009 09:46 PM

Very nice. So you are using the 2 speed? Let us know how it holds up.

Joram 01.27.2009 04:14 PM

Thx all,

Today my Delrin spurgear arrived, pictures wil appear sometime this week!

Today i bought the Innovative-Rc LST shock mount.
http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/4...tingsetar1.jpg

Always wanted it cause my solution isn't very strong and the shocks are too wide, and are touching my upper arms so i wanted to improve that.

Besides off that it looks also very good.

Greetz,
Joram

HiLuckyB 01.30.2009 01:42 PM

This is one Sweet Savage! Can't wait to see it running :mdr:

Joram 01.31.2009 02:49 PM

Well, tody i made a start with deanodising the purple parts on the truck.

I did as first the rear and tomorrow i will do the front.

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/2377/img1045vc3.jpg

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8748/img1052lf9.jpg

http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/7183/img1050le7.jpg

I dislike the purple very much, and the rest is silver so it didn't match with the rest of the chassisparts.

Greetz,
Joram

BitHed 02.01.2009 10:50 AM

...all silver is good :D about the only purple left are the tiny cross braces on the Hellire wing...They are a nice touch...They remind me of how much purple i have REMOVED :D

suicideneil 02.01.2009 05:21 PM

Looks much better now. If you give the parts a gentle polish with some fine steel wool that will give them a nice finish, I use a little 3in1 oil or wd40 when cleaning up parts like that.

Joram 02.02.2009 11:20 AM

I have polished them a bit, looks nice now:intello:

I'm going to order some Cen diff's , cause the savage diff's won't hold for long:lol:

Greetz,
Joram

ratpower396 02.02.2009 02:50 PM

just how much is this monster going to weigh??

Joram 02.02.2009 03:04 PM

It's about 6kg ready to run!

Greetz,
Joram

Joram 02.03.2009 11:58 AM

Well, beleave it or not, today my lost Liquid Rc order appeared!!!:yipi:

The douane had it somewhere, but i'm happy it is here finally:

Savage03 02.03.2009 12:03 PM

Lookin purty but ever gonna run it?

Joram 02.03.2009 12:07 PM

Oh yes, just 2 months to go!!!!!

Greetz,
Joram

Savage03 02.03.2009 12:11 PM

Haha sorry had to give you a hard time there, thats a ton of $$$ there! Whats in 2 months? Whats left to get it running? I have been having fun with mine, so glad I made the jump to convert it.

Joram 02.03.2009 12:14 PM

I only need motor+ ESC and lipo 6s!!

I am going to buy a complete Cen diff conversion set from someone(badass_savage) from savage-central. So i have a very strong driveline!

Also sold my Delrin 2 speed set and i'm going to use the Savage Flux gears, combined with my titanium gears(if they fit)

Greetz,
Joram

Joram 02.04.2009 11:20 AM

The postman brought me something:yipi: ,my mountingkit for the LST shocks

http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/6048/img1068je9.jpg

http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/8268/img1069ar6.jpg

I have mounted them a bit different on the shocktowers cause i ordered the normal savvy mountings, and needed the savage x ones:oops:

But as you see that was easily fixed, just used another hole.
I also didn't used the things to mount the shock on the arms, the titanium arms have a nice mounting themselve.

Maybe tomorrow my ordered Savöx 20kg servo arrives!

Greetz,
Joram

Savage03 02.04.2009 11:31 AM

Looks good. Something I did on my lst mounts is added another screw and nut to the shock tower, you can fit another screw in those inner most holes, I like things to be strong.

danhfvcsd 02.04.2009 05:54 PM

dayum, feels like this truck is getting daily upgrades -lol- It's looking really good now man!! Where did you go to order the servo man? =)

Joram 02.04.2009 06:06 PM

Yeah, enough updates now:intello:

I ordered the servo here in the netherlands, only place to get them now.

Joram 02.06.2009 05:46 PM

Well, here is the motor i'm gonna use, a Savöx 4570!!!!!

http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/2...0970339vm4.jpg

Greetz,
Joram

suicideneil 02.07.2009 05:16 PM

Nice, looks sturdy with the screwed on rear endbell and one piece can/front endbell.

BL_RV0 02.07.2009 05:24 PM

Neil did you see this? The stand says 1800kv but the motor says 2000kv.

Joram 02.08.2009 09:13 AM

Yeah, i noticed that, there are coming multiple kv motors from every type.

Maybe it was on the wrong stand....

But i'm going for the 2000kv version on 6s Kokam lipo:intello:

Greetz,
Joram

BL_RV0 02.08.2009 11:32 AM

Wow, that will be insane.

Joram 02.08.2009 11:56 AM

We will see how much power it will have:lol:

There comes too a Savöx ESC, i'm very interested in that one.

Greetz,
Joram

BL_RV0 02.08.2009 12:03 PM

If it was me, I would just get a MMM.

Joram 02.08.2009 12:49 PM

Why that, someone who tests BL set-ups for Fioroni has given them tips what specs the ESC needs!

So i don't have any reasons why not buy one:)

Greetz,
Joram

suicideneil 02.08.2009 05:39 PM

The MMM is superb yes, but thats not a reason to test other escs and motors, how else can the industry progress without trying and testing new things?

I kinda like the design of the motors, very clean and smooth looking in nice colors.

Joram 02.08.2009 06:19 PM

That's exactly why i'm going to use Savöx products. I heard all good news from the servo's so i guess the motors/ESC's are from the same quality!

This is the 1:10 ESC: http://www.savoxservos.nl/?p=946

I can't wait to see the 1:8 version:intello:

Greetz,
Joram

Joram 02.10.2009 01:49 PM

Update!!!!

My spoilermount arrived, finally i have something nice to mount my spoiler

I have also modded my piston holes from my LST shocks, i have drilled them to bigger holes. Standard are there tiny holes wich don't perform very good. The shocks didn't worked properly and smooth, now they are perfect 8)

Dagger Thrasher 02.11.2009 10:05 AM

Looking goooood...very nice indeed! :great:

Incidentally (and correct me if I'm wrong)...but is that copper-plated PCB etching board that you've used for that wing mount? I used to use it for some of my old projects, and it's tough stuff. Basically fibreglass.

Joram 02.11.2009 10:46 AM

All what i know is that it is made from Epoxy. Think it is that PCB etching board:yes:

Here a overview:intello:

suicideneil 02.11.2009 07:20 PM

Dude, nice. I like that you can alter the height of the spoiler to suit the shell etc.

cembom 02.11.2009 08:00 PM

I like the pic showing the rear, ALOT!

Joram 02.16.2009 07:25 AM

Well, my Savöx 4570, 2000kv is ordered!!!!

Servo has an delay, was sold out:whip:
My cen diff's are tomorrow shipped, so the hole driveline is perfect:intello:
In about 2 weeks i order some flux gears for the tranny, and some other small stuff.

Now a question about alu bulks: the FLM ones or the Golden Horizon??

Golden horizon just came this month with these bulks, they are savage X!! version.

These also open different, i think it is way better then the flm ones, they open very irritating...
You can now open them by the ball-bearings, you need to open the flm ones at the front/rear.

EDIT: my epoxy brakes arrived:

Greetz,
Joram

suicideneil 02.17.2009 12:23 PM

I dont think Im qualified to say, but the GH bulks seem just as nice as the FLM ones, and if they are easier to open up for maintainance.. why not eh?

Joram 02.17.2009 02:18 PM

I'm going to order the FLm ones, they just look so damn nice:intello:

About some towers, wich one are the best, FLM, Nova, innovatice rc?(those ones are not in stock, what's about that?)

Greetz,
Joram

jnev 02.18.2009 02:23 AM

I personally like the FLM towers. I haven't had experience with that specific part, but I have a lot of experience with a number of other FLM parts, and can't say enough good things about them from the quality, to its durability, to their warranty.
