Center Diffs by Dafni. When do you start accepting orders? :dft003: Or will this be one of a kind?

Meticulous and superb!

Dafni 03.08.2006 01:31 AM

Orders will be acceptet as soon as I find someone to open up a business. :) Unfortunately I'm more of a designer person, I'm useless as a sales-man.
But I would love to turn out some products one day, seriously. My head is full of ideas!

Thank you, all of you!

No weight yet, but I hope to be able to borrow a big lab scale today or tomorrow, for some accurate numbers.

Sylvester, those are Maxamps packs, check www.maxamps.com . And I use the Multiplex charger from Mikes store.
Usually the deans plugs are for discharging (speak: run) and the other plugs are for charging/balancig.

Cheers, boys

looks sweet daf :004: . if it were mine i would try to mount the controller under the motor if there is room :032:

Sneeck 03.09.2006 11:12 AM

Very nice indeed Daniel. Hope to see it in action.

that would make it the 1st 2wd BL revo.. :p

Sylvester 03.09.2006 01:01 PM

lol:p

virusss 03.09.2006 01:38 PM

fantastic conversion dafni....
you make me to come wants to buy a Revo
:)

Dafni 03.10.2006 07:30 AM

Thanks again, boys.

Yes, sylvester, Serum is right. The rear center driveshaft occupies the room under the motor.
I could fit a 99 amp ESC there, but for the 120 amp Micro, it just wouldn't fit. I tested this. This was actually my initial design, but I wanted to keep the motor as low as possible. (now the spur is flush with the bottom of the chassis plate, btw) Plus, the ESC on one side gives a nice balance to the servo.

stampy 03.10.2006 07:10 PM

have you had a chance to drive it yet? how the 1950 perform? im thinking of getting one instead of the xl i had in mind. got any more pics :018:

coolhandcountry 03.10.2006 07:21 PM

The 1950 is a nice motor stampy. I like the one i have. It does a little better than the xl can motors. Then again they cost more to.

nbcaznmaster 03.11.2006 07:49 AM

Hey dafni! you should make em for mike! So when people buy teh g3r setup, they can choose between e-maxx tranny or a center diff.

its also smoother right:032:

coolhandcountry 03.11.2006 08:51 PM

It is stampy. It is ultra smooth on a schulze. it is smooth on the bk as well.

Dafni 03.12.2006 03:15 PM

The BK controllers were designed specifically to run te Lehners, actually.
Those motors are very high quality.

AND powerfull, Right Leroy?!

coolhandcountry 03.12.2006 04:07 PM

The 1950 is power serum. Everything above this is unreal. I sure do love the unreal part.

Dafni 04.05.2006 01:51 AM

Here's a quick update:

I will make body mounts in CCristo style, still waiting for the body.
Also waiting for a returning pack from Maxamps, so I can run it in 2P configuration.

Just for the heck of it, some pics (from when we still had snow :) )

Once again - Sweet Ride Daniel....

Re~Mix 04.05.2006 03:21 PM

Looks very lightweight, making for a good racer and basher.

Rcbros 04.05.2006 03:31 PM

very very clean and sleak looking. nice job.

Darren 04.05.2006 03:37 PM

Oh please dont get it dirty :026:

Mate, that thing looks awesome!

Very clean work there, I think you have paintshopped them wires in there, no-ones truck is that tidy, no-one :035: . Awesome job!

Anyone know if anyone sells/can make a centre diff conversion for the maxx?

coolhandcountry 04.05.2006 06:46 PM

crazyjr 04.11.2006 08:09 PM

oh its on like donkey kong now....daniel, im coming for you. good thing im in the middle of rebuilding the old e-revo (not a g2r i know but i can still make the wiring cleaner...).

Dafni 04.11.2006 11:48 PM

Yeah, I like 'em clean. On some rides you can't see the car for all the wires...:032:

Squee, I also just rebuilt my first revo conversion. Still love it, even though my G3R is a mean competition.

Speaking of the G3R: I had a test on it yesterday. On 5S2P Lipo (8000mAh). Was awesome! But the transmitter batts died on me :005:
The handling with the center diff feels just like my buggy with big wheels! Yay! And after 15 minutes of constant running, when the TX batts died, the temps were surprisingly cool. :004:

HotnCold 04.12.2006 04:38 AM

Clean enough for ya daniel?

maxxdude1234 04.12.2006 04:42 AM

:004: :004: :004: ME WANT ONE!!!!!!

You gonna run lipo's in that beast?

Dafni 04.12.2006 04:58 AM

That will do!

Seriously, HnC, very nice truck!
Is the steering servo also in the electronics box?

boss 302 04.12.2006 04:59 AM

daniel you need to get a vid of your G3R

HotnCold 04.12.2006 05:14 AM

LOL - no, the servo is not in stock yet ( 333 oz hitec ) - but i did weigh it with batts and servo - 10Lbs 9oz with 10S Lipo..... Should gittyup a bit... :005:

Sylvester 04.12.2006 06:03 AM

10s lipo?????? HOLY! Can you say 100mph? :D

boss 302 04.12.2006 01:14 PM

yeah what do you need 10s lipo for. that thing would fly

HotnCold 04.12.2006 03:31 PM

10S2P - 2 5S lipos in parallell ( LOL @ spelling ). I needed the voltage for the motor - As per others here - the motor and speed controller would draw too much current under hard acceleration for a single 5S pack - so im essentially running a 7400 mah 5S battery. I think it should be more than fast enough on 5S. Wonder how much time ill get out of a single charge for racing -

Sylvester 04.12.2006 03:38 PM

For a second i thought you were gonna run 10s lipo on a track . :|

Dafni 04.12.2006 04:14 PM

Yeah, me too. I really thought you meant 10S2P... you told me so on PM... already wondered how you will put 20 3700 Lipo tacos on a G chassis.. :032: and your motor running 50K rpm would have been a sight to see :dft002:

5S2P sounds much more sensible. And it's enough, really. I don't dare to run mine on 100% throttle EPA, it's a rocket, even with the 2P bricks. But I still think you should get a higher wind motor, especially with stock diffs and your spur.

Mine runs fine on a 2P setup now, even the LVC does what it should. Now I would love to hook up an Eagletree.

Keep us updated, HotnCold!
