looks like i am going to be buying one of those hobbywing esc's considering my f-ing $400 hydra 240hv wont even turn on. curse words and wrenches went flying, to say the least, when i confirmed that i had a POS. i may just have to start looking at another brand. i am so sick of sending a new esc to castle every month. i have had over 7 MMMs fail already. 3 of them v3's. they are great about backing up their product mind you, but is there something more reliable out there? and just as good too?

My favourite ESC is still the HobbyWing 12S100A.. My Hydra240 acts up a bit too.. I bought that ESC because everyone said, oh yeah, it's good, it's this and it's that... Mind you, I love the programming.. but all I really need is voltage cutoff... I'd have to say, the Schulze 40.160WK was and still is my favourite ESC so far... I had one MMM fail on me, just went poof and another one starting to act up.. I have 2 MMM to send back.. But I think you'll do fine with the hobbywing 12S100A, don't forget you need a pistix and don't forget to set the throttle range.....

The only drawback of that ESC is that you don't have punch on a dead stop.. once you roll, even the slightest.. You could then give her lots of punch...

Great controller, but I have now went to my little ESC that could  and it took the place of the 40.160 in my BPP truggy which I only use 5-6S lipos in. I don't know how well the new Schulze large ESCs are, but so far the 40.300 have been burning up.
