I don't know. Dimension Engineering said it would only be a simple software change to get it to work properly. I'll ask, though.

squeeforever 09.28.2006 11:54 PM

Thanks!

aqwut 09.29.2006 05:31 AM

cool fill us in when they're available....)

Serum 09.29.2006 06:04 AM

With good quality cells, you don't need to worry about the individual cells voltage imo. for relative cheaper packs, it might be interesting though.

aqwut 09.29.2006 07:12 AM

It's just not worth buyin' low quality anything... I'm tired of it.. I've spent $10, 000 the first year I was into RC.. and it was all because I didn't want to pay that little extra $$ and and up pay 3 or 4, or 5 times as much because they keep on breaking.. maybe it's just me...

What are you gonna spend Squee, on this project?....

I asked, and he said it's not a very high priority right now due to other projects he has. But he did say that if the demand is high enough, then he'll get it out sooner. So I gave him a link to the forums here, and told him he could get a pretty good number of people who would be interested. He hasn't responded to that yet...

squeeforever 09.30.2006 11:19 PM

Ok, thats Metal!

So far I have spent $140 on the parts I ordered the other day, $12 for the UBEC, $90 for the motor, $135 for the ESC, $540 for the chassis, $200 for the batteries, $160 for the charger, $50 for the balancer, $20 for the LVC....So...Alot...I have yet to get the batteries and balancer, still waiting for those to come in...And I still gotta order a LVC and the balancer I'll order with the batteries. I had the UBEC, motor, and ESC...but it's not free and it's gotta be replaced by something since it was for the E-Revo....

These prices don't sound bad Squee. You did your share in shopping/searching.

All and all, you will have a sweet ride, once it's finished for a relative lowe price.

Yea, I kinda have to since I don't have a job...I forgot a few other things in that list (servo, Dace hubs, and some other stuff)...but you get it an idea of how much...

Serum 10.01.2006 03:44 PM

You really don't want to calculate on how much your truck costs. Bad for your conscience and nightrest.. Even though, you did your best in getting it cheap, the added numbers will be higher than expected.

squeeforever 10.01.2006 04:00 PM

Yea. I had never thought about what I had in it until I thought of all the parts I bought...

sjcrss 10.01.2006 07:19 PM

I think that goes for the majority of us ....at least for me that is.....

Procharged5.0 10.02.2006 10:24 AM

Goes for me too...................and I'm not done yet! Ouch!

maXXler 10.02.2006 10:28 AM

This is the problem nobody wants to think about while building up a truck, ....me too:p

squeeforever 10.23.2006 11:28 PM

Ok, well I thought yall might like an update. Today I got my last items needed...or so I thought...Now I need a new motor mount/diff holder since the batteries hit the stocker. I'm gonna lower it a little less than 1cm so I can use a Ofna 51T spur instead of the 65T (would hit the batteries as well) and I'm gonna put the motor in the center between the braces. The CG will remain the same actually and will balance the truck better. I think it should be a better setup...I just can't imagine why they didn't do the same...Another thing wrong with the stock is that the shoulder that holds the bearing is less than 1mm thick (it's more like .5mm) and on the back holder/motor mount was starting to crack...So I'm gonna have to make it thicker as well...Not biggie really...Just puts me back a little on running it. I should have pictures soon though, with or without the motor and diff in it...I also got all the axles converted to 8mm and have Dace hubs, etc. I also did a few other mods...as well as a new shell and a new wing, etc.

GorillaMaxx360 01.06.2007 01:41 AM

Found this few month old thread but after reading this i got to see a picture of this thing it sounds amazing.

squeeforever 01.06.2007 01:05 PM

Thanks! I still need to get the center diff/motor mount machined, but after that its completely RTR. I think I'm gonna try to get it machined it in the next week or two...

GorillaMaxx360 01.06.2007 01:20 PM

Can i please see a pic.

squeeforever 01.06.2007 04:59 PM

I'll see if I can find one for ya...

Edit: Well I can't seem to find any of my pictures...Guess I'll have to take some :p. I should have them later today.

Sylvester 01.06.2007 05:12 PM

when do u think it going to be done?? i want to see a vid lol

jhautz 01.08.2007 02:42 AM

Nice Squee!!! Have you been able to find Lipos to fit those trays?

squeeforever 01.08.2007 02:47 AM

Yea. I bought some True RC 8000mah 3S2P packs. They were about 3mm to wide though. All I had to do was Dremmel the inside of them down a few mm. There was a good 5 or 6mm on the inside to start with...It should be done in a couple weeks at most, given all things go right...It actually looks completely different now (to me anyway...).

jollyjumper 01.08.2007 06:07 AM

dude, that trugg is nuckin futs!:004:

GorillaMaxx360 01.08.2007 08:51 AM

Nice, make sure you get updated pics up when its done. That thing is sweet.

How do you like the trueRc lipos? I really like mine for the price.

Sylvester 01.08.2007 06:17 PM

VERY nice squee! What turnbuckles are those?

neweuser 01.08.2007 06:19 PM

I think Squee is holding out on the pics! LOL, are those pics of yours squee?

squeeforever 01.08.2007 09:28 PM

Yup. Those are pictures of mine. They were the ones he used in the auction actually...I'm not holding out :p. I just need to take some, and I've been busy lately...

I believer there Mugen MBX-5 turnbuckles, but I'm not positive.

I can't comment on the packs yet since I have yet to use them, but I expect them to be well worth the money.

Sylvester 01.08.2007 09:35 PM

Thats what i thought, they give a little more steering, dont they?

What other mods do you have/reccomend to the lsp? Id need some links too, i just want to know how i can make a good truggy even better!

Thanks.

Mike.L 01.08.2007 09:52 PM

I would do alot of things to be honest. It basically depends on alot of things though. Do you have a problem going to 17mm or 23mm hubs? If not, I would do a 8mm axle conversion. If you are interested, I'll give you all the links you need to do it. I would also go with GTX2 f/r bulks. They are a direct replacement and are alot stronger. I would also do the buggy upper arm mod. They are alot stronger, less slop, as well as allows you to use buggy 22* front hubs. There are alot of things you can do to it. I would recommend truggyracers.com. They have a list of all the modifications you can do.

By the way, as for hop-up parts (aluminum), I would go with Edit RC parts. There pretty much the only place to get them....

Sylvester 01.09.2007 09:05 AM

Links would help!

I might go with 23mm adaptors in the future, ill have to see first if any thing will break!

squeeforever 01.09.2007 11:12 PM

http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/in...p?showtopic=45

Let me know if you need the 8mm axle conversion kit parts...

Heres the parts for the upper arm mod:

22* hubs

buggy arms

upper arm pins

balls for rod ends

you can use these (the things on the far left and right sides, they should have came with your truck) or I would recommend these instead.

I would also go with this to eliminate some flex.
