so i found a place dedicated to RC in NC.

found 2 nice places (well places that took time to put their info in the directory)

each is about an hour and 15 min away...

idk how my g/f would feel about me making the trip every/every other weekend. going once a month is not really worth the 1700 bucks id put into the truck.

That track looks really good in the pictures, almost makes me want to move there just so I can race at that track :smile:

well the dude is a racer and said it was only used for 1 45 min main so im guessing he takes some good care of his stuff. i only did a down payment and will finsh paying it off by Wednesday so i should have it by next wednesday hopefully. in like a week and a half!

I think Daf broke the rear diff pinion and had to make a support for it. Check out his thread.

The only thing I see is that the body posts look like they'll break. I also read on another forum that many guys are drilling a hole all the way through and using a long screw and bolt to fix it. Otherwise, it all looks sweet. I must admit though, mine came with all the plastic blocks replaced with aluminum as well as the front steering knuckles and rear upright hubs. :whistle:

At the moment I'm using 46/13 in my truggy with a quark, 1515 2.5D (1700kv), 5s2p 8000mah true rc lipo's. It's geared for about 35mph (haven't radared though) and seems like a good speed for racing. Everything stays nice and cool after 6 mins of racing, and uses 1400-1600 mahs, so I might go to a 14t pinion once I get the hang of it a bit more.
For high speed use 46/16 is about the same FDR as I used in my e-maxx without issues.
