I know, the RC-Monster CD unit would work perfectly and its a good price, just havent really gotten around to it- the GorillaMaxx chassis rails need replacing with something more sturdy that incorporates a CD unit / motor mount too, rather like:

but tied to the chassis rails & bottom plate. Im gonna let the Candyman finish his current project though & do his Emaxx 'Razor back' chassis & see what I can come up with. Wont be anything too radical, mainly beefy & symetrical- long time before that happens though so I'll carry on with the old tranny ( :lol: ) for a while yet..

I agree... You could even update to a Ofna spool if you aren't looking for the center diff action.

Shouldn't be to hard to design a part that connects chassis and rails.
Only thing that might be interesting is if you wanted to use Mike's slipperential and there for would require space for a 46T mod1 spur at minimum.
But even that could be done with a little thinking.

Hey Neil can you post the length of those 8b shocks? I bought those Duh towers from River. Do you think they would work? I really don't want to buy 8 of them, nor do I want the extra weight.

Hole to hole ( center to center ) they are 95mm long, so the HB shocks would be quite tasty if they arent too fat, not sure on the others as they dont list the length that I can see.

Nah, even when someone is selling everything you need in one lot, getting spares the rest of the time is difficult- I need to test this beefed up 3905 slipper I've fitted still, but it seems nice & strong- didnt snap when I tightend it up so thats a good start :lol:

Yes. I like to know your result from that slipper and aluminum pads. This strobe set up is ideal but it wont fit on my newer trans. What spares do you need except pads which I was including and never wear out anyway if its adjusted right.

Got myself a nice Turnigy neckstrap/ lanyard for £5- balance of the controller is perfect so it stays near enough level when you take your hands away :smile:

Just so you guys know, I have quite a few Ofna Solid Center Drives with plastic and steel spurs (Ofna or UE), Ofna Solid Center "Slipper" Drives with plastic and steel spurs (Ofna or UE), and Strobe Slippers, Strobe Sprongs, Standard Pads & Peek (high-temp) Pads, and Ofna or UE Plastic or Steel Spurs...all NIP!

Havent tried it yet actually, been having way too much fun beating my Tamiya Mad bull to pieces- the horrid autumn weather doesnt really lend itself to running the larger trucks, but the little buggy is loads of fun in the leaves and on the slippery grass/ tarmac.

I really enjoyed my 1518 in my Maxx geared 22/62 on 4s. I did try 6s a few times and its just too insane... :lol:
