Won't these shocks reduce the suspension travel a whole lot... are you taking a new direction with the build... meaning you won't be jumping the truck anymore?

I sure hope you get the travel you wanted... Those look pretty short. like 8b fronts... Not much travel, let alone for a buggy... I hope I am wrong, Pics Asap, :lol:

If its not too late; My suggestion would be to get the rear "Vorza" shocks and make brackets:

But if you find they are too short or something, You can have the mount in the pic to test and have all four if they work... I wont be using them anymore...

I still should be able to set it up for track running when running the duh towers. You know with the shafts barely setting above level sloping down towards the knuckle?

I'm not selling my old equipment. LOL I have more suspension combinations than I should tell. Here it goes. Ultrashocks, Big Bores, 8Supershocks, 8 Power Strokes, and now 4 16mm Vorza buggy shocks. FLM towers, Traxxas towers, Knuckle heads, Duh towers. So the all of this only takes 30 mins to put on in a combination. I hope the Vorza shocks will perform on the normal track, as well as alittle jumping, like you'd see on a track with down ramps all that. If I want to perform back flips or anything like that the Powerstrokes should do in the top hole on the duh towers.

Good news! I humbly submit that my truck looks soo awesome with the duh towers on it. lol It looks more and more like a truggy. Just like I had hoped my UE knuckleheads and my new Duh towers have two holes in common. Both of which allow the truck to bottom out safely without blowing my Power Strokes while using the bottom hole on the arm the truck is really set up well to bash and perform well, especially since it is so LCG anyway set up like a truggy. But the Buggy shocks on their way right at 100 should do perfect so long as they provide enough travel. I don't expect to be able to run my 40 series tires with the shocks. It wouldn't work and would damage the shocks. I'll post pics when I get the Vorza shocks.

Thanks zipperbasher. I like what you've done with your truck? You've got your batteries under the FLM chassis right? I had good success with that myself for a while. Never damaged the packs. I think I learned it from Serum.

I want in my thread to thank River for giving me the oppurtunity to run the fastest towers on the web, being that these are the towers of his choice when he ran how fast? 82MPH? I don't know of a faster Emaxx. lol

Yes sir, Underneath the chassis. With a very simple skid plate. Working well for over a year now. I really like what you have going on though. typical truggy layout. Thats probably where my maxx will end up in a couple years... :lol: or at least ditch the trans and get the motor down lower. I just took some shots of my skidplate and will add them to my thread later tonight if you want to see it.

I like the idea of those short towers as well...:yes: I bet you can really slam the body down low. I hate when I have the body as low as possible and there is a gap between chassis plate and bottom of the body...:no:

This is what I was using as a battery tray for a long time until that metal poked into my truck and shredded that one cell of my Hyperion. The tray from mike should give more protection.

Look with me at THESE springs... what is the deal? Are there just three different spring rates with like 8 colors or do all of the colors represent a different rate? look at that "gf" number. It looks like there are three different gfs. Does that mean three different spring rates that come in all these different colors?

EDIT: actually there are 3 lengths but several different "gf" numbers.

The new shocks are HUGE! They are fatter than my Powerstrokes, and almost as long. lol
Nothing to worry about here. They look great!

I have everything I need to get it in the best shape of its life, I think... As long as the holes in the chassis line up with some substance(meat) on the new tray I got from Mike with all the cutouts in the bottom for weight savings which I meant to order without. I'll post pictures this weekend. I should have it all put together late Friday night if all goes according to plan.

There is always something to do to these Maxxs. And there always will be, as long as new technology comes out.
