That would be good if you could send me the plate. But you are are in the UK, right? I am over in California, so shipping might be a bit much.

I shouldn't think so it's pretty small,if i just send it international air.if it gets lost in transit i've got more so i could make a second attempt.Just PM me your address.if it costs more than a few quid i'll let you know first,if not i'll just pay it myself it's really no problem at all.

Yeah the plate itself is steel but the diff cups were some kind of really crappy alloy so the bevel shafts just moved into the metal killing the bevel gears so i've got a few kicking around.I think you should be fine with the stock cup, i never had any trouble with those only when i "upgraded" to the lame hot racing ones.Maximizers are solid though(and shiny).there 7075 which is roughly twice the hardness of 6061.The others clearly weren't 6061 though. The plastic ones outlasted them considerably. In fact they're still intact.

Just a thought though, are you sure your XTM diff is like that. All the bevel gears i've ever seen are the same as the LST.The savage diffs are the same any way.The LST diff wouldn't be a bad choice though, and because it's a f/r diff you'll have one less set screw to check since on one side (in our case,on both sides normally) the shaft and outdrive cup are the same part.

MetalMan 08.23.2005 07:29 PM

Gustav, you have a PM. BTW, thanks!

The XTM diff has output gears that are solidly connected to the internal gears. Because the XTM diff uses 6mm outputs, I will just be using the output cups that I currently use. It will be easier for the front (the diff output thing)!

So wait, this might actually happen? Travis, let me know if you come up with anything that works!

MetalMan 08.23.2005 10:08 PM

We will see how things go. I will be getting more and more busy as the start of school gets closer, but I should have free time for sure. The biggest problem that I forsee is the making of the backplate.

EDIT:
I just took a look at the Savage diff. It is also a good candidate, and there are ones on Ebay that are cheaper than the LST diff. So the Savage diff seems to be a better candidate.

Does anybody know how much the ofna diff with the 51t or something close to that plastic spur costs with mounts ?. My stock diff has a 46t spur. If its not to exspensive i might get one to try in my mugen buggy mounts, If it does'nt fit i might have to use the ofna mounts. It's just a thought. If it's pricy i'll stick with my hardened pinon idea.

coolhandcountry 09.24.2005 10:04 PM

The cheapest I have seen was on ebay hippie. Try there. Had one the other week for 15.

rchippie 09.24.2005 10:05 PM

If anybody has one with mounts, i have trade bait. But i wont discuss it public. You know what to do.
