Got both of mine working - I tried the emailed package that doesn't work on my machine on my wifes and it worked.

Ran on mine to the error point and rather than cancelling I terminated the tasks to leave the registry intact. I then copied over the binaries into the program file dir and created the desktop icon. Now all good!

Huh??? :scratches head wondering what a binary thingy is: LOL...

Are either of these computers Dells? You copied the binaries from the computer that the installation workedon, right?

Jerry - Both home built - Send me your email and I'll send you a zip of the CC directory files.

Then run the normal install - at the point of error do not do anything - start "taskmgr" (start->run) and go to processes - Select applications and end task the install package.

Then unzip my file in the program_files directory - double click on the castlelink.exe to run.

Fingers crossed it worked - then just create a desktop shortcut!

PM sent. Thanks!

nice sneaky way! so you leave the installer runnig until youve copied those files? ill try it noramlly first...

does it affect anything else in the computers health or does it just uninstall the cl stuff...

It worked! Then I got an email from Joe at Castle that had a zip file in it that also worked. He said that they are looking into it so I'm sure it should be fixed soon. Now all I need is to get my Monster back.

FatBoyRacing 05.13.2008 11:31 PM

:yipi:Joe at Castle sent me the zipped file also, worked like a champ.

DRIFT_BUGGY 05.13.2008 11:40 PM

Are they going to put it up on their site or do we have to email them?

I'm sure they are going to put it on the site. Joe just sent me another zip to test that worked, so it appears that they have found and repaired the problem. If you need before they do put it on the site pm your email to me and I'll send you the zip file.

I am know all confused on this thread. The zip is to get the Castle Link to work on certain machines and the new castle link includes firmware for the new MMM esc to be able to set custom LVC. This will not fix the bec from actually failing though??? Please someone fill me in on this. I think i got it right but......

Arct1k 05.14.2008 01:42 PM

you got it right
