This is not going to be a race truggy unfortunatly. There is nowhere around here to race. So it will be just for bashing and speed runs. Should go well with takedowns upcomoming MBX5T.:yipi: I am most likely just going to use this motor untill I gewt around to purchase a medusa. And the motor I am getting now is 1900kv, so it should be well fitted for 5s.

Amesome, hope you guys have fun and can't wait to see the results

Okay, new plan. Hopefully I will be able to do this. I will order the lipo and servo from unitedhobbies. Then order the medusa 36-60 2000kv motor from rc-monster, I will just need to dish out a little more money.

Check out the good deal thread - link to a very nice Medusa from a member here... Perfect for 5/6s

Pedebeater 07.09.2008 04:42 PM

I was hoping to get that medusa.... Glad it could go to another forum member though.

Pedebeater 07.09.2008 04:47 PM

Ya, I just looked at it and its sold. Oh well, I was hoping for a 2000kv anyways.

BL_RV0 07.09.2008 05:26 PM

... If you find one in stock, let me know. I can't seem to find one anywhere that I need to order from anyways.... Maybe mike can get one in soon.

Haha I tried to get a 2000kv 60mm for sale recently too and just missed. Like a pack a sharks we are :)

For what it's worth, I opened up my KD36-74 today. It didn't take much force with a hammer against the shaft to pop the rear endbell off - and it's pressed in with epoxy like Feigao motors. Right now there is a crapload of JB Weld on it. The front endbell is actually threaded, but the threads on the cap are slightly too small of a diameter to properly fit into the threads on the can. When the rear endbell is done drying, I'll take some red threadlock to the front endbell.

I just want a good quality motor for once. Thats why I want to get the medusa.

What do ya think?

I was searching the battery section on unitedhobbies and stumbled upon a battery that might be a better match for me. It is a Zipp-H 5000mah 20-30c 5s. Even though it has a lower c rating it actually has the same continuos amp rating and adds 10amps to burst. Is there any sown side to getting this over the 25-35c 4000mah?

Untill now I totally forgot about a battery tray. So I will be getting the twin force battery tray. Hopfully it will mount easily...
