the R packs use Korean cells which is where enerland cells are made, these are the highest quality packs you can buy..I am expecting a higher discharge rate than the 5000 packs and the run time difference will be minimal...and at the price they charge you could but a few

I have read that those hobbycity motors are going bad pretty fast. I would stick with a feigao. We know they are cheap but they work well. As for the lipo I would go truerc. They underrate their packs and you will get it in less than a week. The hobbycity orders are great but shipping can take a long time and thats if they have it in stock. No stock and it could be months and months before you see anything. My truerc packs never get warm under heavy load and I have been very impressed by them.

I run the 8000mah 10C packs in my BL emaxx and they dont get 5 degrees above ambient temp while running. In my opinion they are overkill. The 15C packs are beyond overkill. I run a 4S 5000mah truerc pack in my bl buggy and its only 10C and doesnt break a sweat.
If this is for a slash, the 3S 5000mh pack would be more than enough.

i will go with a zippy R pack aslong as they are instock, it will cut the costs down a bit
maybe i will get a truerc pack or another zippy pack later on if i need one

what plugs will i need to order to get the feigao to connect to the mamba max? my MM is in for repairs and i dont know what size the bullet connectors are

the MMM comes with 6.5mm connectors but you will need to solder them on yourself, they do take a little more to solder them on than smaller connectors, I think you would be fine if you used 5.5mms especially if you run more than a 4s pack...when you solder them on just make sure you use at least a 75 watt iron otherwise you wont have enough heat the bigger connectors act as a heat sink

4mm connections for motor and none to battery - you would need to put your own deans on.

3s 8000 is HEAVY for a slash - I think I'd be going for a max of a 3s 5000...

the 8000 was my original idea but i have now learnt that i dont need that much and it is too expensive at the moment anyway

depends on the motor..most do not but the Tekno Neus do have 4mm connectors already on but I would remove those unless you are planning a less than 75 amp draw.

people will go with a higher capacity in a pack to compensate for a lower output (less than 20c)

Guess what? My 8L can finally separated! Guess I'll have to grind down my heatsink clamp after all. Considering the amount of abuse I've put this motor through I'm surprised it's lasted this long...
