My first one smoked, and took a nice MG Race servo with it. Castle was cool and replaced the BEC free of charge, but that didn't save me any money when getting a new servo.

I sold my second CC-Bec and bought a no-name brand that seems to work well.

You really think a no-name brand bec will be better made that a castle one?

It's not a question of whether not 'I think' it will be better, I've used a couple of these cheapies from ebay with a lot of success. If it was just a random purchase, I wouldn't be able to say.

The only CC Bec I bought did exactly what the OP wrote in his complaint... It burned up (wired properly on 3s lipo) and took an expensive servo with it.

I love the cool stuff castle offers, and they serviced the BEC for free (replaced). But I feel obliged to share my experiences with others, especially in a thread where many are experiencing similar failures.
