At least its all covered under warranty and you can get another one. Keep in mind that for every mph you try to go over 30 the running amps and peak amps go up by a lot. It just like with horsepower, with 200hp you can go 200mph, but with 1500hp you can only go 300mph. It takes much more power to go only a little faster. With these 60mph setups you need some serious battery power. Going from a setup rated for 4S to 6S to try out speeds is a good idea if you provide twice the battery capacity and power at 6S. I dont think our battery trays are big enough for something like this and the high end batteries are just way expensive.
I think the reason Novak has such success is because they package the motor and the esc together and you really cant change much and they dont have many motor options. With this sensorless stuff, the possibilities are endless and there are some amp hog motors out there that could cause some trouble.

what i dont get is why are alot of people haveing problems with the mmm useing the say set ups that worked well on the mm with a fan and some caps?

A MM with a 1515 1.5d on 6s would have smoked... Too much voltage. Looking at the specs, and other various info the MMM does not appear to be much higher in amp handling than the MM, it can just handle more voltage.

Not so sure about that I think that the ratings on http://www.castlespecialprojects.com...ntrollers.html would be pretty accurate.

Hobby rating for MM is 70amps and MMM 120amps - A significant difference.

I will be running my 1.5d on 4's with 22/58 gearing in my erevo with my mm untill lutach gets his esc's shipped..using 2/truerc 15c 8000mah 2s and 2/ flightpower 25c 5000 mah 2s ...no extra caps on my mm thought...should I add 1 more big one?...if so what cap?

I'm never selling my two mm's..there just too good a backup esc to get rid of

4s you can use the novak or other 25v 2700uf low esr or the digikey 2200uf 35v ones jeff linked

I had never seen those ratings. Thats great that they have those. A lot of controllers on the market are overrated so its good to see solid numbers. 99% of the MMM failures are the BEC issue. If you counted only the controller failures without the BEC I think you would have a successful product with a very low failure rate. In my opinion they just have to get the BEC issues figured out and they will have an outstanding product. The controllers themselves are incredible once you get them working right.

Run the MM without the BEC and you would be having a lot of failures as well.
