Finally got to run the 2s 5000mah hardcase today and WOW! I'm running this in my CRT.5 with a Medusa 36-50-4800. I had been previously been running 2s 6000mah MA packs. Changing nothing but the battery the truggy did a flip on takeoff! Way more impressive with this pack!!!

For those that are interested . I just ordered a neu 4s1p 4900. There are only 3 left after i placed my order . If you wany one you better hurry up .

Would you guys think the neu 5s 4900's would be a good batt. choice for a CRT truggy w/neu 1515 2.5d/MMM ....basically just for track racing ....or would the 5000's be a better choice ??...will i notice the difference of 100 mah??...any idea on a ballpark run time on 4900's ??...thanks guys for the help

You will not notice a difference with 100 mah in my opinion . I had a crt that ran on 4s with a 15151y . On my FP 4s 5000's i can get anywere between 15 -20 minutes . Depending how smooth i am with the throttle . I just ordered a NEU ENEGRY 4s1p 4900 to use with my jammin buggy & GTP . I think you should expect anywere from 15 min & up from the 4900's .

Thanks rchippie for the help ...this is all new to me ...LOL...ive almost finished with my build and i'm finding out that the battery's are turning out to be my biggest decision...Neu 5s 4900 or 5000, little lighter and smaller...or go with the zippy 5s 5000, cheaper but bigger and heavier....LOL...the more i read the more choices i find...decisions decisions

I haven't tried the Zippy packs, was going to until I seen the Neus on sale. Very happy with my purchases. I won't be buying another MA pack unless they do a complete change. However MA will keep my business for most of my other needs.

5s 4900 with a 1515 2.5d in a truggy is a good setup, and it's what I used to run. I think iit was good for about 18 minutes race time, and based on that amp draw 100mah would be and extra 20 seconds.

Hey, ERevonut - do you have the exact width and length of the 4900's? Just wanted to verify their dimensions so I can make my new battery tray.

skellyo 10.30.2008 03:27 PM

How long has it taken most of you to get your shipping notification on packs you ordered?

They are aprox 6.565" long+ allowance for wire so about .25-.3" extra x 1.875" wide x 1.075 tall.

I have received notification within 2 days of ordering that they are shipping

I just ordered up a pair of the 4900xp's as well.. the site says they are 158mm is this incorrect? MY battery tray is 6" long and fit the evo25's with a little space on the bottom they are listed as 152mm packs and again there is a few mm to spare.. did I just make a mistake ording up a pair of those 5s 4900's ??

Sounds like it. Unless you are going to make a new battery tray. Can you cut one end out?

Does anyone actually have the Neu Energy 25c 5s 4900XP lipo?? What is the length of the 'flat' part of the lipo, not the end to end measurement as that can very a bit depending on who builds the packs.. but the flat spot, the actual pack length where it has contact w/ the tray. MUCH MUCH appreciated if someone can post up quickly so I can cancel the order before it ships tomorrow! THANKS!!

E-Revonut 10.30.2008 09:22 PM

flat spot is just about 6" (6x25.4=152.4mm)
