Should be fine, the stuff I am using is thinner, and it works great...

Man, this is a great tip. Never thought of kydex for this, but DUH, what a great application for it. I have a friend who is struggling with trying to make a battery tray for his LSP/Hyper/etc. I have access to a metal shop, so I make mine out of stainless, but he doesn't. This will be great stuff for him. Thanks!

Gotta say that your build looks really nice, and is also really well documented. If I didn't have a emaxx already, I'd be making a clone of what you got. Great work!

You should try the Kydex, it's much lighter than stainless steel and very durable. I got one of those Kydex trays with the CRT .5 I bought off Linc and it's good stuff. I've got a Kydex sheath for a sword and it has taken a beating and is still in good shape, I need to get my sister a car made out of this stuff

Makes me wonder, if a tree falls in the forest, and lands on a vegan, does anyone really care?

Prince (or the artist formerly know as dumbass) needs to write a song about it "When trees cry..."

KaztheMinotaur 12.29.2008 07:05 PM

Maybe it will land on an emo kid also.

Thanks, I will do that!

Hey Linc, do you think a 20T pinion will reach the spur? I've got some plans for mine, and I really didn't think about that when I ordered the pinion. I'll have the 63T spur to go with it.

If not, looks like I have another order to make. =/
