Yes, my threads tend to wander, and sometimes they never get back on track...

You think you'll ever finish the build?

It is on my list of things to do...

Progress

So I got the other tvp cut, drilled a few holes and mounted the front and rear assys on. Looking good, and I should be able to get the tranny in tomorrow, after I cut the tranny and motor plate access holes.

Thanks ladies!

The hexes are Dynamite, IIRC...

Nice, clean cuts. Wish mine were so sexy. Too bad you're gonna destroy those looks with a tranny.

Which body is that?

Just get a bandsaw and a few hand files... I may take some 100 grit on a da and smooth the edges a bit more, but I doubt it!

The body is the ford f650 body from proline. I think it is the one they sell for the cen trucks. 15" WB is a bit long, maybe 3/8" longer than idea for the body, but that is what the muggy center shaft gave me, and the lipo fits well too. Not too long, I doubt the flux 2200 motor will have any issues on 5s.

If I had room for a band saw, I'd have a mill by now . Aw, only 5s :slap:

This is just a small truck... It will do fine with the 5s setup. Now the 5th scale savvy will have 10-12s and a 1527. I am also going to 10s and a 1521 in the 6x6 lst, and the baja will run 2 big motors on a 10s setup... That should be enough high voltage setups. I also have 2 mega 1100kv motors, and an aveox 36/38/2y, and a 10xl kb 45. So all I need are a few more hv escs and I will be good to go!

Wow thats killer... Love the scale. Ive gotta get some proper cutting tools...

Thanks, it is just long enough to get an average lipo pack in front of the tranny!

Decent tools are a must, the band saw was only 100 bucks... And blades last a while if you keep them tensioned correctly. Good hand files are also a must have tool, I use the best I can find...
