It's time for an update!
I got a 3/4" threaded shaft. My bearings require a 20mm shaft, so I made some redneck bushings. To mount the freewheel, I took a grinder to a nut that fit and shaft so the nut fit inside the freewheel. I'll jb weld it in there later. The nut won't move because I'll tigten it against another nut. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/S7301910.jpg http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/S7301911.jpg http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/S7301912.jpg Yes, the pic is blurry and the chain will be on the opposite side. I might put it back over on the other side if this doesn't work out. I just have to get that damn wheel. To mount the gear on the other side of the jackshaft, I found the original wheel that the freewheel was on from the scooter. The gear was attached to a freewheel then the rim, so I removed the freewheel and I can probably weld washers to it and then a nut to make it work. I just have to do it then take pics. :whip: This is the major things on the to-do list: Get rear rim Get Chain mount batts/motor Mount the other gear on jackshaft |
