HotnCold, that engines hitting max power at 2,750rpm, the red line can't be much higher than 3,000rpm. Do you never want anything a bit more revvy? Its all about the revs!!! :D:D:D

Hey, HotnCold - sounds like another gasser that hasn't experienced "The Dark Side, huh?!?!?!

BTW., nice run. What are you running? Twins by chance?

A little sulfur never hurt anyone - LMAO - actually the funny part is that in the left corner ( in the cloud of sulfur) is a huge belt driven compressor. If you could only imagine how much that belt slips with all the soot on it - OMG:005:

Actually it redlines at 3740 rpm.. For a diesel thats pretty high :005: - And I have to confess - the dyno sheet is from a friend of mines dodge running twins. (good call Thiessen). My chevy dosent put out that much power. It is my work truck/family hauler so twins is out of the question. My best is close to 900 ft lbs at the wheel and 468 hp at the wheels on the dyno, corrected. My best is 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds in 2wd ( i wont launch in 4wd - ill snap my driveshafts in the front ( torsion bars cranked up ). And 1/4 mile was in 13.9 sec - with a horrible 0-60ft of 2.5 sec. I couldnt keep the wheels from moving while holding the brakes to build boost.

It may be all about the revs - but the face of these guys with mustang GTs, lightning pickups and ram SRT-10's when you go by (at 3700 rpm) .......Priceless....

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 02.21.2006 02:57 AM

Yes, your 0-60 and 1/4 mile don't match up, but your 60 foot time explains it.:dft002: :D
Was your trap speed somewhere around 100mph or so?

HotnCold 02.21.2006 07:54 AM

I believe around 101 or 102 if i remember correctly..

I work with two diff. guys that run Dodge 2wd drag trucks that are in the 10's for the quarter - and those are 4-5000 lb trucks! They also drive them to work daily in the summer - something most gassers couldnt do. Its quite a sight to watch them going down the Seattle area freeway and get on the gas - completely blacks out the freeway and there's brake lights everywhere!

I heat that - My truck weighs in at a little over 7100 lbs - LOL- thats like their trucks and a small VW - I know what you mean about blacking out the highway - I love it when they put on their wipers and pull over - that is too funny - ( not to mention the people walking on the side of the street - lets not get me started on that - :005: :027: :005: :027:
