Thats a good idea. The FLM stuff is very nice. I converted my rusty to an all FLM setup including the steel diff. It also have a Lenher 4200 and MGM 80. :004:

Traxxas Stampede RTR w/Radio & ESC

Dom.S 02.16.2006 12:14 PM

so ur sayin go with the stampede... and in time upgrade it?

MaxxFusion 02.16.2006 12:18 PM

Yes. Its a fun starter truck. Then as you go you can upgrade parts on it. Once you get it you will quickly get addicted and want more. lol I know I did.

Dom.S 02.16.2006 12:21 PM

lol very tru i already wanna start runnin from just talking bout it thanks:D

MaxxFusion 02.16.2006 12:31 PM

Good luck. Let us know if you need any help. One thing I will say at some point invest in a good set of drivers. I had some crap drivers and striped screw heads in the beginning. I since got a set of the Integey drivers from here and love them. Having the right tools makes it so much nicer.

Dom.S 02.16.2006 12:44 PM

Thanks for all the help ill make sure to keep in mind the tools tip......thanks a lot:D:D:D:D:D:D

I agree with the electric part. It is a lot easier and simpler. The stamped is a good truck to get started with to like maxx fusion said. After you run it for a little bit and want more up grade to a brushless and the tranns gears upgraded for some all out fun. One tip. A good set of batteries will make a big difference.

MaxxFusion 02.16.2006 04:20 PM

Also while your at it you might want to get a decent charger. I went with a cheapo $50 charger to start and had some problems with it. I since upgrade to the Integy 16x4. That one will charge up to 15 cells at once so now I can charge both my 7 cell packs in one shot.

Welcome Dom.S. My suggestion would be to get the stampede, a couple of radio shack 3300's and and a duratrax pirana peak digital charger and play and work on it. While your doing that read and learn, there is a lot of knowledge here on almost everything. As you learn you will be able to upgrade or build your next truck and have even more fun.

Here is the breakdown of what i suggested:

Traxxas Stampede 149.99http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=TRA3606

radio shack 3300mah 7.2v stick pack 24.99 http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family

Duratrax pirana peak AC/DC charger 49.99 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCLD5&P=0

grand total (not counting tax or shipping) $250.00 with two battery packs

I would recomend at least two bettery packs so you don't have to wait on the charger

Ok every1 thanks for the help........ looks like im goin with the stampede:D.... now i want to buy it for as cheap as possible any tips?

maxxdude1234 02.16.2006 07:12 PM

Don't skimp on getting a decent charger. You'll only regret later when your cheap one breaks and you have to get another one. Same applies for batteries.

boss 302 02.16.2006 07:13 PM

Electric is the way to go and a stampede is a good starter truck. youll enjoy it and it is cheaper than getting an e-maxx or g2r revo.

Welcome to the forums

coolhandcountry 02.16.2006 07:21 PM

I go along with maxx dude. I bought a few cheap chargers and then found out that it was killing my batteries. I also bought some cheap batteries and bought some more later to. It was like putting another motor in with the battery change.
