If you chose to upgrade to the field programmer for $10.00, we should be shipping those out shortly. If you can PM me your info, I can look it up and give you an update. If you only asked for the standard free link, we are currently working on some and they should be available soon as well.

Here are the answers to your questions:

What controller are you trying to program?
- Mamba Monster Max (F310C)

What version of software is on the controller?
- V1.24 (Beta)

What version of software do you have on the computer?
- Castle Link version 3.251

Have you ever connected the Field Programmer to the computer?
- Yes. No problems encountered when using Castle Link software to set the MMM ESC via Field Link. The problem only happens when using Field Link powered by battery via MMM ESC.

Thanks for the quick reply Frost. We'll test this out tomorrow!

I had a weird thing happen when changing to a cutoff of 9V. Everything programmed fine, but when I went to use the truck the next day the motor just shuttered in both forward and reverse(like it was set for brushed).

The wires battery and motor got very hot in just a few seconds. I got the programmer out and checked the settings and when I went down to motor type it was set to brushed reverse. I changed it back to brushless and everything was fine. I was pretty sure it was user error.

For your reference, I have uploaded a video showing the Field Link in operation. Initial Field Link setting for Motor Type set to Brushed Reversing. I do a continuous press to change parameter value to Brushless, and then a single-click to go to next parameter, the value changes to Brushed Reversing instead, and then skips Motor Timing setting.

Frost,

I just had another go at it again and was able to recreate the problem. The only thing I can suggest is to slow down. I think the Programmer is missing the click, so try waiting just a second after changing the setting, then click it again to go to the next setting. When I slowed down I couldn't recreate the problem, but when I did it quickly like you did in the video, it recreated the problem every time.

There you have it.... this device is not intended for use by gamers or meth addicts. It's more a tweeker kinda thing LOL

Thomas: Thank you for the advice. Somehow it doesn't happen to the other parameters on Field Link, but only the Motor Type and Motor Timing parameters. Nevertheless, it is a great product, and I like it very much. I find it very useful at the racing track :yipi:
