Hey Sunny I was looking at your .32 slip so I checked our ticket for the finales,i got mad all over again about that tire letting go. .182 6ft and .828 half track. I think that would of been the magic # of a .20 something. I hope it isnt to cool at the last race in dec. so we can have one hell of a battle.

Glad your doing well.
Video !

Thanks. I'll get video at the next TnT. I didn't do it this past race since I didn't want any extra weight getting in the way.

Negatory. It's a 0.400 tree, so my reaction time was 0.041. The guy on the right red lit by 0.104! Premature...

David, that's neither here nor there. On a previous run, I had a 0.180 6ft, 0.826 mid but only went 1.347 ET (see first ticket I posted at GCRCDR). I plan on coming to SA at least one more time before Dec to TnT like we talked about and get ready for battle. I have to admit, last race was fun with three of us running 1.3s.

Well, that's odd, and that was the same lane, maybe the sensors were out of wack, I just think its kind of funny I went .35 at 84mph on 3 wheels on the wall  but like you said we will never know. I don't know if I will tnt before the dec. race I have stuff to buy don't know when I will get it, have to catch up on things after the ATL. trip.

Saturday's (12/11/10) 2010 Texas Twister Race Series Finals went beyond what I expected as far as results go for me. Let's see, it started with a couple of personal best passes with my Top Fuel dragster and then ended with 3 TTRS Finals Class wins (Outlaw 1.05, F/C - P/M, and TF) and 2 TTRS Class Points wins (F/C - P/M, TF).

Here are the personal bests. The first one was during test 'n tune:

And the next one came in the second round of qualifying:

The TF dragster was tech'd before the 1.256 pass: 12.59V, 93 degrees and 41.5oz. I had to use some heat on the battery for both passes because it was getting chilly and I worried about battery performance. I used a regular 540 can brushless motor, not a small motor like the 1100 series Neu that the extreme dragsters use, and a couple of guys used to run 1.26 and higher at the 2010 IMDRA Worlds. The track went away later in the afternoon/evening because the chill set in so that was it for PB's.

Unofficially, I believe, the 1.256 pass is the quickest top fuel pass made with a 540 size motor to date. Which is pretty cool since I've only been doing it for a couple of years. Romano (snellemin) was there when I came to a test 'n tune session at Track 21 in NW Houston back in 2008, my first time, with my speed Rustler.

Nice runs Sunny.

Thanks man. I knew these numbers were around the corner. Very good feeling when everything comes together like this. Looking forward to rinse-repeat for 2011.

Do you have any pics of the Rail and Car?
How long are the tracks for RC dragging?
That is awesome there.
Do you get the same rush doing this as real car?

snellemin 12.14.2010 09:45 AM

The track is 1/10 quartermile....132F.

Thanks. As Romano said, the track is 132ft and I can't say it's the same rush since I don't own a 1:1 drag car... (in a few year, maybe?) but still a good high for sure. Especially since I'm the team owner, crew chief, pit man and driver, all in one, for three cars on race day. So when things go like they did Saturday, it feels good.

Here's my dragster:

And same dragster with a different body along with my funny car and outlaw 1.05:

Sweet looking!
I only have a full size 1/8 mile track near me or close 1 hr away.
Looks like fun.
Nice looking Cars you got there.

Thanks again. Hey I think there might be a RC drag strip in MD if that any closer, I think in Chesapeake.

Here's a photo of Kojak with the TF trophy:
