I have seen guys using an old Winnabego that looks like it is fifty years old, but doing a modern conversion seems to be a much better choice. Nice work.

James I to like building things that will surely out last me in the long run. I like furniture that is heavy duty and looks beefy. I always tell the kids that the stuff that I make will be here even long after they are dead and gone. In our rental property in Vallejo, Ca when I gutted the kitchen for the new renovation I recycled as well. I carefully removed the old cabinets and installed them in the garage and created a nice workshop. All I had to buy was a couple of new 10' countertop from The Home Depot for $50 each, and layed them over some old 3/4" plywood for extra strength. You could park a car on it. The only added cost was installing a 12 outlet power strip, and a few flourecent fixtures for good work lights under the overhead cabinets. No one else knew I was going to do that and it received rave reviews. Now the new tenants have a very organized workshop as part of the deal.

Nah thats my grandpaws shop,the trailer is gonna be my man cave. He does alot of cabinetry and other wood projects still even though he is in his 80s now, He has been doing this for 3 times as long as ive been alive :lol: pretty awesome when you think about it.

I've helped and worked with him but i'm building these solo, my trailer, my cabinets, I've done everything on the trailer so far, no since and letting anyone help me now. Although he does inspect what im doing everyday. So far eveything has met his standards.

Thats cool to have an inside man inspecting your work. With his level of craftsmanship you know he will scrutinize every inch of your work, and if you get the passing knod you know your doing something right. I had a nice shop setup in my home in Orlando, but when I got married and began traveling with my wife for the US Department of State I sold it off and had to let go of everything. So I will have to start over once we settle down(2017). In the meantime I get to build temporary setups at every post, which will help me learn and improve my setups as I go. The portable shop is still the best bet when you travel from track to track racing or even just playing. Yours is turning out great.

off topic: You mentioned the lights in your jetta, any engine work done to it?

egr delete and a mild tune. it does have koni FSDs and a shine sway. im slowly gathering parts to build the engine, once i get everything ill do it all at once.

and lastly before i left tonight i whipped up my shelf that holds my parts washer, it will be mounted to the wall and cabinet and have one steel pipe leg on the end corner for support. The opening undeneath is large enough for my compressor when on the road.

Dude you are going to be the envy of the racing world when you setup at the R/C track with that rig. Everyone will dream of owning one of these and having it full of R/C stuff. Very nice work Rootar. The finished product will be magazine worthy I am sure.

It's going to be amazing. The things someone with knowledge, talent and tools can do. Now think about this, a beer fridge and a 37'' full HD LCD screen on the wall beside the AC, with a DVD player or blue ray. Maybe a satellite dish on the roof. People will pay your race day fee just to show up :yes:

it will have a radio in it lol tv and such is kinda out of budget. I have my net book in there with me besides, I don't think i would accomplish much with that many distractions.

NO NO NO the TV would not be for you Ross. It would be for all of the visitors that you would have checking out your work on the trailor. It would be so everyone would have the chance to check out the updates on NFL, NASCAR, or Xgames and still keep moving with their R/C activities. Like stated you will have people wanting to pay you just to watch your big screen. I hear that Wal-Mart is now selling the 42" LCD's for under $500 so thats not so bad. Love the trailer Ross. Hell of a job.
