I'm pretty partial to flames as well. Maybe stripes behind the flames.

Sneeck 06.08.2006 12:46 AM

Is there enough clearence on the front wheel to steer? Cause it don't look like it will clear the shell when you steer.

I dig flame's myself, but if you can't paint it stay with somthing simple like the 1 or 2 straight line's in the center. Or you could always find some inside decal's.

keen eye dude...but the shell will be raised a little to clear , once i get the front body mounts done as well....(only got the rears done so far)

This stuff is rough. I can only go about 10" (254mm) (including turns) before the blade on my scroll saw is too dull to cut with! I've gone through 3 blades already!

dude, you seem to the the most well informed bout this stuff, so i'll ask you...

does G10 come in black? or any other color for that matter?....

Batfish 06.09.2006 08:25 AM

I believe the short answer is "yes".
Go to www.mcmaster.com
put "G10" in the search
Click the link for G10 Garolite Sheets
Scroll down on the right to see the colors they have.

Good luck!

MetalMan 06.09.2006 09:28 AM

Ya, it does (as Batfish pointed out). I got my G10 from McMaster, and in the quantity I ordered it only came in the greenish color. If I had ordered a different quantity I could have gotten it in black. From McMaster, you can get black G10 as long as the sheet size is 12 x 12 or larger.

You didn't happen to get those countersunk washers from McMaster, did you? If so, it may be worth it to check the screws for tightness every once in a while, since the washers will bend inwards.
That black looks really good! Can't wait to see the finished product.

overtki11 06.12.2006 11:44 AM

oh...them silver washers?? i got them from a LHS who sells ofna 1/8 buggies...these are from the new "hyper 8"
