Here's a thing i wrote on the LST forum,it's about one-ways but much of the same princple applies.it's a long post.Basically it'll give more steering in certain condtions and it'll kill the wheeles.http://www.lstcentral.com/modules.ph...er=asc&start=0
i lost interest in that thread when the guy said this:"Since the load factor is not that much since it's EP":005: truggy f/r diffs would be better,it'd let you use a smaller spur that'd fit lower between the rails without grinding on them or raising the diff as much or running low rpms.Alternatively,you can run a diff in the e-maxx tranny like Mike does. |
How do you run the diff in the tranny, just the gear? I guess my interest was getting rid of the tranny. thanks for the link gustav!

It would be something like what Traxxas designed for the Revo.

I have never seen the Revo to be honest...well, not one that's not BL anyway, and even still, never seen the set up up close!

Go look at it at Traxxas.com. They designed a diff for the tranny as well. It's pretty nice. I THINK that it could possibly be adapted to the Maxx tranny.

I dunno squee. That looks like the same diff they use in the front/rear with a gear instead of the angled spur. I wonder if it will hold up? It's one thing to have BL power spread amongst the front and rear diff, but that center one will have to take the full power. I guess there's only one way to tell: pick one up and see if it fits and will be sturdy enough...
