yes, that is my core criteria for the stuff i wanna do...well, at least i try.....

my basic rule that i try to stick to is, not to use any L stock at all......although sometimes i find that its the easiest way out of a fix.....just have to keep telling myself....not to be lazy..haha..

That would help if you with articulation some. If you worried about it.

wow! lathe out a "ball" into the standoff???..now that would require REAL talent!!! haha i might try it someday i guess....precision is something i'm not to used to. :dft001: :dft001:

if you where looking for any shock ideas you could use the revo shock setup with rockers and pushrods. That may work better because there might be less strain on the shock from left to right and forward and back. Just a thought, but it really looks good. could even use revo shocks if you got long enough push rods)

thanks for the input dude! appreciate it!

i did think of that, but i figure..the way its set up now,..it shood do what i need it too ....and that is have the shocks as stiff as possible so together with some sway bars, it shood keep the txt-1 torque roll to a minimum...

GorillaMaxx360 02.08.2007 11:08 PM

cool if it works for you that is good the thing i was concerned about is the side to side movement might bend the shafts but the sway bars got that covered cool man nice work.

By moving my shocks to the axle and chassis instead of the cantilevers.
It helped the torque roll a great deal.

overtki11 02.11.2007 08:41 PM

good to hear confirmation on that....
honestly, i got rid of the cantis coz i didn't have enuf space for them with that big block sitting there!:005: :032:

now i gots alu chips everyfreakingwhere!!!...much to the dismay of my wife!!

still have to do some "finishing" on the other side though....eyes got blurry by the time i got this far...best i stopped for the night.

also finally got to test out the clamps i made too...

its good to know that they work like they're 'pose ta..

coolhandcountry 02.12.2007 11:17 AM

I going to have to get me one of them machines. It does much nicer than a dremel. :)

haha...yes, before i got this machine, my dremel was THE #1 tool in my tool box.....

here's the completed? mount....

after all that milling work...i end up covering all the "details":035: :035:
funny thing that ended up a "bonus" was the fact that when i fabbed the mount to hold the fuel tank, rx batt and rx box onto one piece...it didn't occur to me that i had build it "modular"...just 4 screws and the entire assembly drops out of the chassis!!

hmm....i guess all thats left to do is the body mounts, run the fuel tubing, get someone to help with the carb settings, trim the TX/RX......
