It depends on how precise you want to be. I just use a sharp razor blade. I lay the foam on it's side and cut down. You could measure them out. Make sure you leave enough material in the center to keep it round. Make the points of the stars sharp so that when the BB's roll around the don't get hung up on them.

Funny you say that...I am thinking the same thing with converting my Savage to BL.

It is all in what you want and need to do. If you are running beadlocks it is easy to adjust. If you are CA'ing the tires, don't glue them completely until you have it right.

This is what I did for my foams:
I cut them in half and then did the pattern around the diameter. I don't run BB's, but I may try airsoft BB's once I get the Axial beadlocks.

Thats neat!
What did you use to cut them like that, scizors(sp?) are a pita to cut foams with. Very innacurate.
