We could call it a SNN module (simulated nitro noise). They could also develop a pressurized container that automatically sprays the inside of the body and chassis with a sticky substance whenever the body is installed! Or a mercury switch that turns the esc off when you flip the car over. This would be great stuff, and would really help people with the changes from nitro to brushless.

:lol: sounds like I will have to download the new updates. not sure if I am brave enough to try a neu with the esc yet though.

does anyone else notice that their MM makes a beep every few seconds when the truck isn't moving? it never did that before. i didn't reprogram my MM's after the update, so i'll try to see if that fixes it. nothing happens that i need to worry about...it's just a little unnerving! i have 2 MM's on one truck and turn them on at different times, so both beep just out of sequence of each other.

The beep is to remind you that your ESC is still turned on.

I guessed as much.
I think its a good feature it reminds you to turn off the mamba max after a run protecting your battery's etc.

I like the way the new doo doo sound it makes when starting up slowely now it seems that once it gets to a certain rpm it changes to a new mode or at least that's what it sounds like.

seems a little smoother on startup on my Neu 1.5Y. hard to tell in the basement. I'll have to wait to get to the track for a real test.
It is smoother on my crawler with an outrunner. Still have to test on the rocks as well.

well I just downloaded it. tried my 8t out in the house with 5s and a 12xl feigao. so far all I notice is the annoying sound at low speed. guess I will have to wait for the woman to get home so I can try it outside (have to watch the little one).

Send it in. Doubtful it was the new software that did it, but who knows...we'll cover you. :) Include in the service request form that after you downloaded the new update the ESC sparked right after plugging in. We'll get you fixed up. Service request form and all pertinent information to send the ESC in are located on the support tab of our website.

It was strange, but the sparks happened after I turned the switch to the on position. Thanks for checking in Joe.

Joe, I want to thank you for the support you guys have given me on my castle products. You're always really fast with your warranty replacements. I own two MMs which I just updated and they run great, two 5700 motors, and I just ordered a CCBEC, Castle Link and a Sidewinder from the Castle site along with some bullets for my conversion project. Ok, just did the downlaod onto the mm in mt ext crt.5. I run a 3s 4200 lipo and a plett maximum. It does start the 4 pole motor better, and the esc seems to run cooler too. I also seem to have better runtime, like 3-5 minutes. Good stuff, can't wait to try thiws update with a aquacraft 6 pole motor in my new emaxx. We will see if it can start that motor, it is impossible to turn by hand! I also have a novak 6.5 that I eill try out in my xxx-cr buggy. Great revision for the best low cost esc around!

you have a plett max in a crt .5?

Yep, makes for a good 3s motor (3100kv) and it never gets much more than slightly warm.
