...Joram its so PAINFULLY slow!! lol...Looking great mate...your build has been an inspiration to me and I have been watching each purchase arrive and get fitted...Really looking forward to the day you turn the key on and drive it off the lot :D
...Love that body too!! Great job mate... |
Just ordered my MMM V3 from Rc-Monster:intello:
Also ordered some FLM bulks here in the Netherlands wich arrive begin next week! The Savöx 4069 motor arrives monday here in the Netherlands, the 4570 on 20 March. I'm going to be testdriver for Savöx, i'm the first one in EUROPE who will drive a car with a Savöx motor:yes: Greetz, Joram |
killer body Joram,
does anyone here know how to adjust the shifting times/points. in the savage 3-speed transmission? |
Yo people, my FLM bulks, Cen diff's and first Savöx 4069 motor arrived!!!!!!
I'm am the first one in the whole!!! world with an Savöx motor. I'm going to test some motors in my savage for Savöx!!!! I also test the 4570 version wich come round March 20. Ain't that special? http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/2784/img1098.jpg http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/6431/img1099.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7035/img1100.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3482/img1103.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9268/img1107v.jpg http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/9885/img1108y.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/4319/img1109z.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7988/img1111.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/1955/img1112.jpg http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/6634/img1115b.jpg Greetz, Joram |
Nice looking motor. Looks like the front end is sealed, cool.
When can we see that in action? |
Don't know, i have to wait on my steel gears from doo540....
Greetz, Joram |
Here some pics of my CEN diff's and FLM bulks, and the final result of all that nice stuff!!
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3614/img1117.jpg http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3932/img1120.jpg http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/3669/img1121g.jpg http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/4019/img1122.jpg http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/4540/img1123.jpg http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/1518/img1125.jpg http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/2162/img1126r.jpg http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/499/img1127.jpg The spoiler isn't mounted, i need some long screws for them. I also sold my Futaba 3PK, bought an SPEKTRUM DX3S, ACE1015 servo for braking. Ordered also all the stuf to make an Flux tranny, cause doo540 doesn't have the gears ready for my first run next week! Greetz, Joram |
Looks good! Those CEN diffs are massive. I'm curious to see how those Savox motors go, are they multipole rotors with slotted stators?
|
Today my MMM V3 arrived!!!
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8325/img1128j.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5278/img1129o.jpg I dont know much about the Savöx motors, i will post it when i know it! Greetz, Joram |
Whats involved on doing the cen diffs? Expensive?
|
They ain't cheap!
You also have to mod them a bit, google for it and you will see tuts. Greetz, Joram |
My DX3S and ACE 1015 servo arrived!!!!
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/9508/img1131.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/1399/img1132.jpg http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/7808/img1133.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/1285/img1135.jpg Greetz, Joram |
Weight will be around 7kg, it is already 6kg without motor and lipo:oh:
Here some shots from almost RTR! http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/9465/img1136.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6320/img1137k.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/8193/img1138.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6449/img1139.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/7512/img1140.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/1679/img1141.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/7951/img1142b.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2682/img1143.jpg Greetz, Joram |
7KG = ~15.4 pounds
Not bad for such a big RC built out of aluminum. |
True that.
Definately a 'monster' truck though, will be a lot of fun when its 100% done Im sure; they always are  |
Quote:
Truck looks great Joram, I really like the arms, are they flextek titanium? Looks very solid, especially those giant CEN diffs. |

Tomorrow my Fullymax 6s 5200Mah pack arrives, hopefully it fits inside the chassis....:whip: Greetz, Joram |
You're so close now!!! It's looking awesome! I wonder why you didn't use another savox servo instead of that ace tho? =)
Don't worry bout the weight... My truck ended up at around 7.4kg with only batteries to add, and my LST was 7.4kg rtr =) I have driven mine already on some crappy 18nimh cells(wow!), and have bent both the front shock shafts on the first jump!! I would advise you get the TiNi shock shafts for yours if they are not already - although i did hit a rather large jump on the first run =) really do need to update my thread one of these days - this was almost 2 weeks ago -lol- Fingers crossed for your batteries mate!! I dont think i need to ask for an update when they come :D |
...7 kg is going to pretty hard on the equipment and the landings :D Built for it though...Cant wait to see it running...
...my build is 4.4 kg RTR right now...Should be around 5kg when all is said and done... ...thanks for keeping us so up to date on it Joram...great build... |
haha - i forgot to add my shocks are Integy, and we all know how awesomely durable their gear is
|
Lipo doesn't fit....:diablo:
But i have good news, i'm goign to barrow an 5s 3700 Mah lipo!! Tommorow testrun:intello: Next week a couple of Kokam 6S 2200 Mah lipo's will arrive!!!! Greetz, Joram |
Hmm, you could send the lipo to Linc and he could split it up into a pair of packs, then you might be able to fit both of them into the chassis, like a saddle-pack or something?
Nearly there, it will be well worth the effort and wait. |
I bought today the 5S 3300Mah fullymax lipo.
I'm not going to run on 6s... Tonight i have tested the stuff inside the house, POWER!!!! Greetz, Joram |
:diablo:Today i made as testrun, but i broke one of my CVD's
http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/3272/img1148.jpg http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/6349/img1149.jpg So i need to buy some new ones, but no CVD'S anymoren, just the HD stock ones.:whip: Greetz, Joram |
Looks like the pin sheared off. Use the correct size drill bit shank, it is made of M2 steel and should hold up longer than the softer material. You may need a cutting wheel (dremel) to trim the drill bit shank, as they are tough.
|
I will try that, but i am looking now for the #100905, the FLUX gear+ shaft... Anyone who can get it at a local shop and send it with UPS to me????
Greetz, Joram |
This is what I've been using on my Savage:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLME0 One did break on me but that was the result of a 35mph crash into a curb. That same crash also broke a shock shaft and bent hinge pins. If you don't want to go with that style of axle, HPI also makes them with the regular style of axle: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLHF3&P=7 |
RTR truck:intello:
http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/8074/img1154.jpg I'm going to fix the pins so.... First i need a new steel spur, the Hot-racing sucks.. Greetz, Joram |
Today my ordered Savage Flux idler gear arrived:intello:
Savage flux gear! http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/7205/img1158n.jpg http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5615/img1159t.jpg Greetz, Joram |
Wow, looks very strong. Now some vidvidvidvideo!
|
Way cool dude.
|
I did today a new try to make it run. My dogbones arrived and fixed my spurgear.
Only forget to locktite the pinion so it came losse... My spurgear and pinion are a bit damaged, but not critical....Only a bit more noisy..:p Greetz, Joram |
wow nice
|
Today my Savöx 4570 arrived:intello:
http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7246/img1160.jpg http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/9785/img1162.jpg The 4570+4069 http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7724/img1163.jpg http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/6148/img1164.jpg It's raining for weeks now here so i want to have some nice sun shining, so i can test this baby^^ Greetz, Joram |
I like, I like alot. Having 8 mounting holes is nice - I only have 2 that are 25mm apart on the medusa, and 2 that are abit closer...
|
Yes, the multiple holes are very usefull for mounting.
It are 2-pole motors, just to know... They have lower wattage specs but they can deliver just as much power as the NEU's/Medusa's, maybe even more! The 4570 is equal to the lehner 2230 motor qua measures, so I am very looking toward the day i can test it:intello: Greetz, Joram |
Joram, how much money (USD) would it cost for a savox 4570?
|
132$ , they cost 100 euro's.
Here an overview of the RTR truck with 4570! http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5761/img1165n.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/4839/img1166n.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9254/img1167f.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/6979/img1168.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/8616/img1169.jpg Greetz, Joram |
Hi, what did you use for the wing mount? Want to put one on mine but cant figure out which to use. Read the whole post and didn't see anything.
Thanks |
