It cost us a bunch of extra eggs to the men in brown and the grey suits tax but at least it means cake will be ready to go out early next week.

That is all that matters!

TexasSP 03.02.2009 05:54 PM

Good decision.

Wise man say man who bakes slow cake and makes messy kitchen no good man at all. Cake that is good and clean sometimes costs more but the taste is so much richer and sweeter.

So is this new cake chocolate, red velvet, yellow, white, strawberry, german chocolate, italian creme, double fudge, upside down, pound, fruit, or of the birthday variety with butter creme frosting?

Life is sweet.

I am sure that Harold will find the humor in this when he is back on line full time. Never know he may want her number?

The term "lets not guild the lily" seems appropriate with this pic... I am sure Harold would be drooling about now, IIRC he likes cake, and dudes in suits...

TexasSP 03.03.2009 11:29 AM

That's almost as funny as the fat girl bouncing across the couch!!!

Excellent...wish I could be there for the unveiling!

mkrusedc 03.03.2009 10:26 PM

Excellent everbody! I don't want to get all sappy but this is a really cool group. I am impressed.

Now where can I get one of those chairs? I have some rug rats in my neighborhood that I could clear out with that thing.

rschoi_75 03.04.2009 12:55 AM

I am sure that you will have great fun loading it up with goodies, and getting rid of unwanted calleries. Plus playing with all of the features before shipping it out. So what is the planned delivery date, and has it been determined as to how that will be accomplished yet?

Metallover 03.08.2009 01:55 PM

Look at the RCM Calendar... At Friday the 13th...

Bigdumredneck 03.08.2009 02:10 PM

Friday 13th BD Surprise! :gasp:

That would be cool as rip!

JERRY2KONE 03.08.2009 05:59 PM

Idea???

Hey Arct1K how about putting RCM stickers all over that cake for decoration? I think that would be pretty cool, and it will give the cake a one of a kind look for the user. Don't you think??

Arct1k 03.08.2009 07:08 PM

Ahh sweet - It is packed and ready to go... Will hit the PO tomorrow so will be there for Friday! Perfect timing guys

It is goodied up with 16gb audio, 40gb video and all the rcm photos

mkrusedc 03.08.2009 07:19 PM

:yipi::yipi::yipi:
Thanks Chris, Brian Jerry and everyone that was a part of this.

:yipi::yipi::yipi:

magman 03.08.2009 08:51 PM

Hopefully the moment will be one he remembers...There are still people who care about others, especially those less fortunate than ourselves. This project is a testament to the people here at RCM.
I applaud all who cared enough to help out!

JERRY2KONE 03.08.2009 11:09 PM

Great stuff.

This really was a great project to be a part of:yipi:. I to want to tell eveyone to give yourselves a good old pat on the back for being a part of this one:angel:. With all that is going so wrong in this world around us today with the war in Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan ETC... and the crumbling economy it is very cool to be able to lend a hand and make the day of someone else with hardships bigger than our own. Nice going guys!!!!

So Chris are you shipping it to his parents for them to present it to him, or is there something else in the works? Just curious as to what we can anticipate as (inside) outsiders???

Bigdumredneck 03.08.2009 11:17 PM

Whomever delivers it, I hope they have a camera with them.

Arct1k 03.08.2009 11:27 PM

Jerry - Shipping to parents they have Camera so will ask for lots of pics.

Bigdumredneck 03.08.2009 11:36 PM

Being pretty new to this forum ive never had any contact with him. He seems like a really likable guy from the past threads that ive been reading. Im glad I could be a part of this and pics will be the icing on the cake!

This will make his whole year, im sure of it.

Arct1k 03.11.2009 11:39 AM

Screwed I've tried 15 nursing homes and even tried tracking down his sister - basically bummed!

But contacted the local paper and they will cover :)

JERRY2KONE 03.11.2009 07:07 PM

Oh well.

Oh well something will turn up eventually. We just have to wait on contacting his parents somewhere down the line. Your efforts are note worthy for sure Chris, and in the end he will get what we baked for him. I like the media idea. That is very cool, and should bring some great publicity for RCM and the gang who resides here.

Arct1k 03.13.2009 03:47 PM

Hen keeper arrived back - been in contact - cake being shipped asap

Local press should be covering and trying for a national rc mag...

So does he know whats going on here, or is this still somewhat of a surprize cake? An R/C magazine article?? That is way cool Chris. I don't know how you pulled that one off, but nice work. This is one of the coolest things that I have ever been involved with for a surprize cake. I cannot wait to see & hear all about the delivery. This is going to be very nice.

mkrusedc 03.16.2009 10:20 PM

Bump?

Metallover 03.16.2009 10:23 PM

How'd it turn out?
