Yeah, ebay for me. If you can sell it private sale, you'd probably be better off because ebay and PP take a pretty good chunk after all is said and done.

Oh, sorry. A few posts back (#117) I asked you a question about the wheelbase and track of the Ten-T compared to a 1/8th scale buggy.

I already saw your side to side comparison pic, and it looks like it is about a 1/2 inch shorter, but I was wondering if you could let me know better. Thanks.

BTW I have one on backorder from Horizon, but I'm not sure when that is coming.

BrianG 03.02.2010 06:27 PM

Well, since Mike has my vehicle at the moment, that will be a bit tough.

Moller123456 ! 03.03.2010 05:46 AM

the "official" wheelbase of the ten-t is: 11.75 - 11.875 inches (298.45 - 301.625mm)
and the 8ight buggy has a wheelbase of: 12.71 - 12.87 inches (323-327mm)

Moller123456 ! 03.03.2010 04:22 PM

Somewhere between "just starting" and "complete". :na:

suicideneil 03.03.2010 08:16 PM

Thats what she said....

Cool project though Brian, if it proves to be a durable truck it would make for a great little basher- buggy sized truggy, whatever next...

marzac2 03.04.2010 05:48 AM

Is it going to be hard to convert the hexs' to 12mm for short course?

Im 99% sure that mike is making them:) But you will need to use the 2.2 - 3.0 rims... 2.2's wont fit... as i see it
But remember, slayer wheels are 14mm hex and SC8's are 17mm

Moller123456 ! 03.04.2010 08:56 AM

YAAAY (again) Just got a package with batteries and alot of other junk:) For 343$ and for some reason i didnt need to pay customs tax:D

suicideneil 03.04.2010 03:01 PM

Did you order from Hobbycity/king? I do love that feature on the checkout page... :mdr:

DwightSchrute 03.04.2010 03:06 PM

I know Mike is busy, but has he given an ETA on the conversion? There are alot of guys here that are anxious to get a ten conversion.

RC-Monster Mike 03.04.2010 03:30 PM

ETA is VERY soon. I should have the basic conversion package done today or tomorrow if all goes well. The spur gears will be custom 52t mod .8 Delrin and will likely be the holdup on the kits in the end. A 12mm hex is an afterthought, but these trucks use a 6mm axle vs. the 5mm standard on the 12mm hex vehicles, so if a 12mm hex is used the wheels will need to be drilled out(and wheels must be 30 series as a 2.2 won't work as mentioned above). :)

BrianG 03.04.2010 04:49 PM

So Mike, just for the benefit of everyone here, what will be included in the kit? Are there any optional parts? Pictures (you can email those to me and I can host them)?

For those who want to plug in numbers into the calc:
- stock tires are ~4.125" diameter
- diffs are 3.889:1 ratio

RC-Monster Mike 03.04.2010 05:17 PM

The kits will include everything needed to convert the car(mechanical - no electronics). This includes the motor mount, spur, pinion, etc. :)

DwightSchrute 03.04.2010 05:38 PM

i didn't read the whole thread, but i'm wondering if you could use these FLM adapters to run the 17mm buggy wheels. they use the 6mm axles.

http://www.fastlanemachine.net/prodd...LM21160&cat=14

EDIT: now the link is right...i had the wrong ones listed first. :)

any thoughts?

RC-Monster Mike 03.04.2010 05:43 PM

those should work fine. :)

95ROLR 03.05.2010 12:01 AM

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, i'm new to the site. What sort of motor's will fit the mount, or will it be generic drilled to fit MMPRO, MMM, R8's, etc?

BrianG 03.05.2010 12:27 AM

It will be able to fit Tekin RX8 or similar sized motors.

BTW: Welcome to the forums!

RC-Monster Mike 03.05.2010 12:48 AM

With the 52t spur, it will accept 15-24t mod.8 pinions(small pinion limited by the motor diamater rather than the mount itself). With a 36mm diameter motor, it will accept 12t - 24t mod .8 pinions. The motor can be installed/removed and/or adjusted with a single screw that is easily accessible. Pinions can also be swapped without the need to remove anything aside from the pinion itself(like all our mounts).

95ROLR 03.05.2010 12:50 AM

Where do I send my money to make sure i'm one of the first to get a kit from the first batch?

RC-Monster Mike 03.05.2010 01:01 AM

We don't do pre-orders, but they will be available soon enough.

nitrostarter 03.05.2010 01:55 AM

Sounds great Mike! Looks like you need a large batch here... More and more people are signing up!

Moller123456 ! 03.06.2010 12:02 PM

Hey been away on a tiny ski holiday for some days, and i see mike is allmost finish:D WHAT GREAT NEWS:D
suicideneil: Yep thats where i got it:) That would be a great feature:) XD

RC-Monster Mike 03.06.2010 12:49 PM

3 Attachment(s)
A couple quick pictures. :)

Moller123456 ! 03.06.2010 12:55 PM

WOW Thats pure porn;D The only problem is, that i put carbon fiber on the underside of the chassis and mud guards and i cant get it off , so im not sure that i can mount the battery tray-.- then i'll just have to figure something out-.-
Is the esc plate connected to the battery tray? Cause i dont need the esc mount:P

RC-Monster Mike 03.06.2010 01:00 PM

The battery tray in that picture is actually a 45x168 w/esc shelf from my 'normal lineup', but the actual tray will be 50x160 inside with an esc tray - and it will bolt to the chassis directly(pre-drilled). The battery/esc tray is made of plastic, so you can either cut the esc portion off or substitute one of our regular trays with your kit if you like. :)

Moller123456 ! 03.06.2010 01:02 PM

Do you have a price yet?:D

RC-Monster Mike 03.06.2010 01:06 PM

Haven't finalized the pricing on this kit yet - have to cost out each individual item still. Soon, my friend. :)

rschoi_75 03.06.2010 01:09 PM

A work of art. :great:

hootie7159 03.06.2010 01:09 PM

DAMMIT!!!! time to sell more stuff...lol...mike, any reason why you did just go mod1 on the spur?.....or will that be an option?.....just asking because i got a s**t ton of mod1 pinions FS otherwise... :P

FG101C 03.07.2010 02:43 PM

Man that looks good, my Ten-T is waiting and ready to be brushless.
