+1. buy the ESC, stay away from their shabby motor. I've seen countless rotor failures here.

This is what I'm planning on doing once RC-Monster has the 150A in stock. I'm thinking the HW150 will be a nice combo with the 70mm Medusa... maybe 2000kv on 5s in a MBX5t.

The other thing I haven't heard about yet that I'd love more info on is this: Professional programming box

I'm definitely after the 150a version when they are in stock, as I need an ESC pretty quick now.

I too have read a lot of failures with the MMMV3. I still wouldn't say it's worthwhile for you to swap your MMM for a HW150 yet though. If your MMM fails, then pick up the HW150.

Regarding the program card, there's 2 program "boxes" available from HW for the 80A/150A ESCs. One is the simple card that has 12 programmable settings (this card is different than the one used on their 60A and lower ESCs, which only has 11 settings). The other is a program box that has a digital display and connects to a PC with a similar UI as Castle Link. It allows for more programming like custom LVC settings, throttle and brake curves, etc.

So far, I've been very impressed with my 60A, 80A, and 150A HW EZRun ESCs. So far, my motors are doing good. I have the SL3674 and SL3665, but I haven't had much runtime on them yet. I only run them on 3s or 4s, so hopefully they'll last a while. I don't plan to run them on higher voltage, which so far has been a common factor in the HW motor failures.

I think the HW150A with a Medusa would be insane!

That's good news, I hv ditch my mmmv3 for HW150amps with medusa 2000kv n 1600kv best thing is it run cools abt max 40degrees in a asia country. The huge fan is turn on with the car unlike mmmv3.

U dun need a pc to change the setting too. I hv use a 100amps HW plane esc on my CRT n races it, no problem!

Ok this 22th I m racing with d 150amps wait for the review as I m running 30-45mins main.

I seem to be having a problem with my 150A ESC. I just put it in my truggy today. When I first hit the throttle, it will go full speed and extremely fast, but in a second or two, it will drop in speed by a lot as if I'm only using 1/4 throttle or less. After that, it will stay that way. Anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
If I continue to hit the throttle, it starts at that 1/4 throttle setting for a split second, then lurches for a split second as if it's got full throttle, but then cuts back again and goes around at low speed again. It's running around 20-25mph. It's supposed to be running 40+mph.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I wonder if it has something to do with the cutoff points, what kind of batteries are you using.

Nevermind, nothing wrong with the ESC. It's just my retarded brain! I need to learn to read the instructions more carefully. I had the LVC set to "auto-detect" and there's a note in the manual that says auto-detect is only good for 2s, 4s, and 6s. I'm using 3s. So I set it to 3s manually and BAM, it works!

Two reasons so far that the HW EZRun 150A is better than the MM that was in the truggy:

1. NO COGGING AT ALL!!!!
2. It's faster!

And as a 3rd note, I don't notice that low-speed cyclicle lurching with either my 150A or 80A ESCs that others have seen. I tried it several times and I always get a steady low speed crawl. So I don't think that lurching thing is a characteristic of all the ESCs.

On 4s, it should accelerate even faster! I'd gear it to keep approximately the same top speed (40-42mph), but acceleration should be even more brutal and tire ballooning on 4s than it is now on 3s. Too bad I don't have any good 2s/4s packs. All I have are the Zippy Flightmax red hardcase 2s packs which keep popping open with any serious current demand. They're rated at 100A, and that might be true of the individual cells, but the soldering is so poor that they're 60A packs at best.

Guys, something to consider about the MMM vs EZ run reliability. There are literally thousands of MMM out there right now. To have some of them go bad wouldnt be all that strange to hear. There arent that many EZ run 150's out there so we would not be hearing about their failures as much. Just my 2 cents though.
