This seems the best bang for the buck right now. Barring any specialty cells that will be made in the future should these things sell like hot cakes.
3s 20c 11.1v wired in parallel for 3200mah. Winner winner chicken dinner! http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idproduct=6539 For Nimh's this seems the highest capacity so far for 2/3a http://cgi.ebay.com/INTELLECT-7.2V-1...QQcmdZViewItem |
Big time winners! Nice find FyrFytr! Looks like they'll fit perfectly. And they only cost $15! Really impressed. Time to find something to sell to pick up a Mini E-Revo...

The only thing I would watch for is that sometimes Hobby Kings measurements aren't all that accurate. But if they are, oooooooooh baby!!:intello:

I know the bigger Quark esc's can handle 5 and 6s (supposedly), Can the 22 or 33 amp quark pro car handle 5 or 6s? Not going for max speeds, just looking at the lowkv hi-volt angle. if not the quark, what mini sized esc could do 6s tops?
|
Just in case anyone care it appears that HC is getting most of the zippys back in stock. And the hardcase packs have info saying that the soldering has been improved.
Plus they have some cool HV boat escs... And Prog cards that seem to be universal for all of the turnigy escs. Just bought one of those so we will see! |
Linc did you ever get those air controllers for your baja?
|
Sucks, I wish the battery compartments were just slightly larger. If they were 110mm long, it would increase the amount of battery options to a whole host including many of the FlightPowers.

Yeah if anyone has any experience with high capacity mini scale ESC's. Then now would be the time to chime in.
It's really funny hearing some people talk about installing 540 sized motors and what not around the various boards. The new mini revo backflips on the stock system by itself on Nimhs!! There IS such a thing as overkill you know. Now a non stock ESC size appropriate ESC with top end programming features? That's what I'm looking for most. Given the Slash's immense popularity. The minis just open the door for a new indoor class during those cold winter months. |
I'm just going to run what is in there. Two 3S Lipo's in parallel should be more than plenty.
Given what this thing does on 12 NiMH cells (I doubt it backflips on the one included pack), 3S should be plenty powerful since it'll hold much more voltage than those little 2/3A cells could ever do, and then this way there is way more capacity (and current capability, meaning voltage will drop less). It'll also allow me to run it in water. This is probably one of the few trucks I will leave very stock, except for turning those turnbuckles and what not into the optional aluminum Traxxas ones. I can't stand the red plastic. Makes it look partly radioshack built. |

They were probably just trying to keep cost down. I think some black rit dye will cure it!
Haha, everyone knows I MUST have a mini revo! |

3s 20c 11.1v wired in parallel for 3200mah. Winner winner chicken dinner! http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idproduct=6539 thats going to be a very tite fit, height wise. theres only like .3 cm room to spare. any kind of swelling and then there will be a problem. |
So I wonder when the RPM true track jr comes out?
Or Some PL bodies? Wings? Tires I think will just be 10th scale buggy tires. So I have plenty of those! I think everyone is going to have one of these just because of how cheap it is! Haha its hard not to buy a little revo |
Mine will stay stock, just long enough to get the parts for what i want. My plan is for a medusa 28mmx32mm 1500kv motor with a quark 33 amp pro-car with a 5s (3x2s) of polyrc 1500's

i wonder how 1/8th scale buggy badlands will look on the mini E-revo?? ive never been fond of the talons, and i would think that buggy wheels/tires would be around the right diameter but not as wide.
