None, the suspension is the same, and the wing is the same, just a different colour.

Nope. Not that I found anyway. Hopefully Gixxer can chip in on this as he got a newer one than I did.

Yes, they are machined aluminium, and hard anodised in that earthy-brown colour that Hong Nors (Jammins) have.

Unfortunately not, as I have seemed to have lost my camara, I'm sure again Gixxer can deliver the goods.

thanks for the info Marvin. Shot RC Monster Mike a pm over to see if he can slipperentialize the Hyper 9 and other small diff setups in the future. That would be really cool if he could. Heck, would love to see him make an RC8 conversion with a similar layout as the Hyper 9e.

looking at the manual, it appears that you could do the ESC on the chassis thing and the servo in the original location without having to rig up new servo mounts. Does the one servo mount closest towards the front of the chassis (ie- not part of the receiver box) have the ability to fit where the other servo mount gets screwed in?

I set mine all up this morning after working a 13hr shift. the body is bad but I will post a few pictures.

Here you go FG101C. I also see you should have one soon, only couple of hrs left on the auction.

Nice Tom...you going to race that thing outdoors?

Cain 05.06.2009 08:13 PM

gixxer: can I get a closeup of the other side of the vehicle to see how you mounted everything, also, what electronics are in there?

FG101C 05.06.2009 09:00 PM

The last one on rc deal went for $365.00 I think. Need to sell my rc8 roller to make room for one of these.

I read where Marvin stated that there is 80mm of room for a motor. I would like to set one up with the 2200kv combo from Castle if it is possible, but that would be cutting it kind of close. I would appreciate anyone who has one giving there opinion on if it would fit. Thanks

reddyteam 05.06.2009 11:29 PM

the MMM will fit but close, over 3/16

The nice thing with the mamba motors though is that the wires come out the side of the can. You should be ok then even at the max length stated.

I went ahead and ordered mine from ultimatehobbies.

damn dude that I know you are always asking for the cheapest, but damn that is by far the cheapest I have seen online. you should be very happy with it.

Cain 05.07.2009 01:23 PM

yeah I can't complain pricewise, thats for sure.

When comparing my options of working with the RC8 versus the Hyper 9e, on paper, the Hyper 9e was just cheaper for what I wanted to do.

I am going to see if can get a local into the RC8e I have currently so we can add another vehicle out here.

I printed off the manual for the Hyper 9e, looks pretty good. Part of reading the manual also helped me picl the Hyper 9e as well as the team drivers I spoke with.

So, now that this is coming, hopefully by end of next week, what is the hot setup to start with?
