Those are 5k 4's, it's the 5s that I have to keep down to 4k. And those packs and the 5's, both 32mm high just fit under the motor plate, but I'll be taking a bit off there and on the gear cover just to be safe...

And here's my first ever painted body:

I learnt alot from this, mostly what NOT to do! lol
Now I can't wait to do another one, spend a little more time, have more patience and get a better end result! I got this shell out of the package, wish I had the proper decal sheet for it, but oh well, random spares will work for this one!!

Thats the Proline Slip Stream body isnt it? I like the looks of it. Make sure you cut out the little scoop part up front to get some more airflow.

Kevlar 08.23.2009 06:32 PM

I think it is, and I did cut the scoop out, and a small panel in the back. I definatly will be getting another one of these bodies, and a clear erevo one. I always liked the look of the traxxas body...

Now a week or so until everything is here....all I want is to run her before the snow flies...

I'm heading out to get a drill press and a band saw tomorrow so I can get chopping!!!

Still waiting on the hinges though......

Kevlar 09.03.2009 10:27 PM

So thats it, I think I'm done, I tested out the doors and once closed, they don't budge (More tests to come, sadly as I was tightening the last screw it started pouring buckets!!)

Can't wait till tomorrow's bash to test it out further...

Thanks to everyone on this forum for your help and input.....stay tuned for the titanium upgrades and new esc....its going to be fun being able to run 2 - 4s's in series......

isuck@rc 09.04.2009 08:24 AM

Bondonutz 09.04.2009 03:36 PM

I'm confused as to what is a more glorious site ?
The cold soldiers (Beers) or the way cool ERevo ?
Lookin great and cheers to you and the beers !
Looks awesome !

Kevlar 09.04.2009 04:49 PM

Thanks guys, I'm off work this week so I've had alot of time on my hands,,,and a couple of morning headaches!!!

So the Lunsford hinges came today (one day late!!!!) but that is the start for the next set of mods, I want to run it like it is for a while to see what breaks...and sadly it has been pouring for the last couple of days, but I did get a 40 minute bash session in, and didn't hit LVC, can't wait to see how long they last!!

Oh dont even say the P word, the old lady's ears just perked up........

Kevlar 09.08.2009 10:23 PM

So one of my 2s 30c 5k turnigies lost a cell, after 2 or 3 successful cycles I checked the voltage and 4.2 on one cell, 0.01 on the other. My only option is to send it back on my buck, or throw a concrete block on it from a scaffold to see what happens!!! I guess you get what you pay for....just hope my 4s's are stay ok....

isuck@rc 09.09.2009 08:49 AM

i vote drop a block on it- at least there is satisfaction involved- i think i'm only going for things with enerland cells from now on, just had the same problem with one of my venom 3s batts for the stampede.
Hmm just waiting on some neu's for the pletty atm....

Kevlar 09.09.2009 11:42 AM

I've ordered these to see what I can get out of the schulze, and they will fit nicely without having to extend my tray tops...at least if something happens, they are on this side of the pond....
