I was thinking the same... If I didn't spend $460 on 2 Hyperion 6s lipos yesterday I would have bought wayyy more motors.

Finnster 09.23.2010 10:00 PM

I ordered five of the big boys earlier today, 3x1520's, 2x1717s.
I have no idea where to even put them all lol.

I think we'll blow out the stock pretty fast :)

Quick! I need some project ideas so I can justify spending some $$$ on some motors! Can I fit a 1520 or 1717 in a Sav Flux?

Finnster 09.24.2010 12:34 AM

Yes, 1520 is the same diameter as the 1515. The 1717 is larger, so will have to be more creative. I'm sure someone has done it. 1520 is plenty tho

See jahay's thread. IDK if it will fit a stock flux

FG101C 09.24.2010 12:45 AM

These should be gone soon.

What's_nitro? 09.24.2010 01:10 AM

Dammit! I just dropped $200 on motors.......... I just couldn't resist!!! I think I need help... :oh:

Quick.... Somebody give me more money to spend!!!

alport 09.24.2010 04:57 AM

I would love to race the 1520 but we have a 4S limit on the cups here :(

You can run 4S packs with 1520/1Y, with better efficiency than the 1515/1Y ;) You just have to increase the pinion size ;)
Another 1520 ordered for me ! It's my third one, thx Castle.

Nard Cox 09.24.2010 06:07 AM

Think I will try that first than nuz69, thanks!
Though I'm almost certain I can fit that motor in my FLM FTC chassis ... oh well :)

It sucks for me because the end of the month is where my funds are tightest, I'd love to have bought several more ! If these are still availible(doubt it) the first week of Oct I will buy more. I did call and add a CM26 6800kv for my RC18 this AM, what a deal on the motors.

sikeston34m 09.24.2010 12:40 PM

Maybe you could PM one of the Castle Guys and see if they'd put one aside for ya as a personal favor? Dunno, can't hurt to try.

Just bought the 1717. Dirt Dirt cheap.

Thomas,

that motor does come with the 5mm shaft as listed, correct?

Same Q here. I want to make sure it come with 5mm shaft.
If not I will need to change my order to 1520 Motor instead.
