Excellant! Thanks Mike!

Just ordered myself one.

Now it's time to start gathering my parts together for this build.

FLM Hybrid Bulks - Check

RPM Arms - Check

Got my kit out of customs today. Looks good and the lower plate is much nicer than I expected. First impression is that the top plate is lighter than I expected - it also bends quite easily. Has quite a big cutout for the spur gear as well. Will be fun to see how it works once installed in a truck.

Second impression: Not enough of the short flat head screws included.

Wow... that looks real nice... what did you mean when you said it 'bends quite easily'? Are you referring to its flexibility?

Yeah, I mean flexes quite easily... :)

Hmmm... is that a good or bad thing?

gumleguf 02.03.2012 10:56 AM

I think it's okay. It doesn't flex at all once installed on the chassis braces (obviously). :)

But it is VERY different from the other FLM Maxx chassis. Liking it a lot so far.

Sounds good... waiting to see how well it performs...

Awesome! yeah I think the bottom plate looks nicer than expected!!

I am not so keen on RPM arms up front. The truetracks are great for the rears as long as your suspension isn't raised high enough to let the cvds pop out of the cups. For the front I would prefer FLM arms. I've had both. I run FLM on the front and truetracks in the rear now. RPM arms bend hinge pins in the front sometimes. Good aluminum will keep hinge pins intact much better. I would get the FLM arms for the sole purpose of getting the hinge pin brace to use on whatever arms.

Weight on the last picture is around 400 grams, for anyone interested...

Wasn't planning on using the chassis for this truck, but I wanted to see how it would all come together. Pics for your enjoyment:

I did not mean to post this comment here, but HERE instead. Sorry

I'm excited about this chassis though and the projects that will ensue.
