Yes, same old..
But they can't keep that up forever. They should look at traxxas; launch a mistic V for 3 days, and bam, there is your system.. Including flashy hopups for the vehicles they put it in.. |
I saw it on a reply to a Youtube video of an Emaxx running a single MM & 6700kv motor (I think). Im with you though Serum, it cant take a year or more to find a good motor supplier, they could have built and stock-piled their own in that length of time...

They could have had someone OEM a limited number while they were developing their own. There are quite a few brushless motor manufacturers out there, especially if you include the industrial motor segment.

I agree, but sometimes you find an off the shelf part that works or is close and only requires minor mods to be a good fit.
554/550 motors are not terribly unusual so it's possible. Finding one that was 88%+ efficient or with an accceptable Kv rating are probably the big issues. |
Did CC make the MM motors, or does someone else make them for them? A longer can version of their existing range might be suitable, assuming its possible to add more winds for a lower KV rating...
|
Depending on what the current winds are, they may not need to increase them as the kv will go down as the motor gets bigger for the same wind count.
