Gotta love the direction these threads go into.

Many Topics.

Licpimp and the rest of you are right on the money again with this topic. How many of you go through the day and see people that do the stupidest crap and you have to wonder how the hell they managed to make it into their 20' or 30's and have not accidently killed themselves. Not to mention wished they had. I meet people like that almost every single day. I love the natural selection process theory.

Have any of you had the pleasure of reading what the Autralian treasury priminester wrote to the citizens there just before Christmas? He basically told all of the imigrants who moved there that this is our country which was founded on christian beliefs and if you don't like it leave. This is our country and if you don't wish to adapt to our way of life then, go back to where you came from and stop complaining about the way we live here. I felt the pride of their citizens and wished that our own goverment would stand up for the USA in that fashion. We have been bowing down to the wishes of outsiders for far too long already. If this keeps up I fear for the fall of the USA. Our own government is selling the country rought out from under us with all of the kinder gentler policies that have been adapted over the last 20 years or so.:lol:

Interesting though, the politcal correctness brigade have completely taken over the UK in the last decade or so; dustbin men are now 'refuse collection operatives', you cant call people 'luv' (as in "hello luv, how are you?"), and christian symbols and icons have to be removed from buildings for fear of upsetting or descriminating against other religions.

If you ask me, the world already has gone down the pan...

We are on the downward spiral of the western empire. It is a far reaching empire too, and the end results will be felt by all. Its gonna suck, hope I am dead and gone before it happens.

Just had to speak to CC re my cripsy MM replacement (another $50 :() - Anyway official line is late Jan delivery for MMM is officially gone and target is now Q1 (Quarter 1 / first 3 month / by end March / by Mar 31st / 31st March).

Still there for summer - maybe...

Rgds

lincpimp 01.11.2008 01:31 PM

Q1? When is that?

ClodMaxx 01.11.2008 01:36 PM

Q1 = first quarter i think.... ?

BrianG 01.11.2008 01:41 PM

Well, since there are 12 months in a year, and a quarter is 1/4 of the year, I would assume this means each quarter is 3 months. So that would mean that the end of Q1 is March 31st. :mdr:

Unless of course their fiscal quarters don't line up with calendar quarters...

I don't think it is. The MM has the battery and motor leads on one side, not on the ends.

When that become a problem?

With 6S+ LiPo I would worry about how to proper monitor battery voltage and keeping noise down...

But what stops us from putting hydro-ESC to truck with mechanical brakes? Ok with proper heatsinking...

But safety would be a concern here above 36V.
And 24V can be very dangerous in wet environment...

I will tend to disagree with that, there is no "undo" button when you solder and programming is quite simple -> just put bits into bytes

A little OT but not totally, all this talk reminds me of a recent news article about a kid who wanted to keep his xbox 360 running cool. To accomplish this he wrapped the power supply in glad wrap to waterproof it and placed it in a bucket of water.

The strange part is that the power supply isn't even the source of any of the heat problems..

needless to say, he didnt fair too well after that little experiment. still alive though i think.

suicideneil 01.29.2008 11:56 AM

Dear lord, where do some of these people come from?.... I would have thought putting the xbox in one of those mini- fridges with the cables poking out a small hole would have been a good solution to overheating; lesson learned I guess, lol.
