hehe. People of ze world, relax! I was jus pokin' a bit of fun. I've not seen the fabled feuiego 8XL Wanderer in person, and am curious to see it's stellar performance!!
AFAIK the MMM should be 6s capable. J. |

8XL ok but you may wish to consider an align 600xl which is a bit more but I believe better quality and would take more V's to match the MMM.
PS and as this is the RCM site try mike at RCM however there are lots of people here with experience to guide you. |

Hi tha5150,

Anyway, the esc held up but the battery gets too warm. So u have to make sure the batteries are up to it. By all indication, the MMM should be the same or better in terms of performance so it should work happily. I have moved to a 9XL to keep battery temps down. In addition, I'm in the tropics where ambient temperature & humidity are all off the scale. So, if you're running in cooler climate, that's even better. Regards, Joe Ling PS : Mike is still keeping silent on my request for pre-order  |

BTW it sounds mexican to me, and lord knows I can't speak latin so my chances of reading the specs are unlikely, unless I can find a canadian, those guys are usefull. If all else fails I can always consult an irish to english dictionary, but that is always a fight. |
Nice lincpimp :)
Hey joeling, how many mah and c-rating were the lipos that got hot with the 8xl? |
Hi Doc,

Maxmaps are relatively small & they fit into the buggy. Regards, Joe Ling |
thanks joeling, I was curious as I'm going to build a hyper7 with 6S the MMM and a 9xl, so about the same amp draw. I have had some issues with my max amps lipos and will go with a better brand for my next ride, I think their 20C rating is a little inflated next to how they react to a heavy load. I think I'll either go with a 5000mah/20C or a 4000mah/25C setup, hopefully the increase in voltage will offset the amp needs.

ETA and Pricing
Well guys, this is what it looks like so far:
The Mamba Monster was not originally scheduled in April production, so we currently working the production of the Monster circuit boards into the schedule. We are still waiting on cases from our plastics supplier (we only got a few cases (5 pcs) in for fit testing so far, those were approved and 2500 cases for our first production run were ordered.) We are still waiting on final release of the "Quick Reference Guide." -- This is needed for specific information on the Monster that isn't covered in the "Drivers Ed" manual. We are still waiting on stickers for the case. (Design for the stickers was late in completion -- they were ordered on April 3rd.) Note that the ESC "only" version will have wires with bullets, and not just the SMT bullets like on the show version -- we decided that would be easier for the end-user as some motors come with pretty short wires. So -- It is looking like we should be shipping before the end of April -- my personal target date is 25 April for first batch, but we still need a few things (like cases) to be delivered from suppliers. Thanks! Patrick Oh, and BTW: Pricing will be $199.95 (list) and 170.95 (map) We don't believe in the same kind of stupid list and map pricing that other manufacturers use, like a $500.00 list with $150.00 map -- that just doesn't make sense. |
Thanks for the update Patrick. The best news yet!!
