I agree. At least my nitros are happy for the attention they're all getting right now. For me, $152 (rc-monster deal) for an ESC is worth the wait.

[QUOTE=Edumakated;199014]Some of you guys need to chill the hell out. Yeah, it sucks the first batch of the ESCs had a problem. I burnt up two of them, but my third has been through hell and back and still going strong.

Well what do you know, your on your third one! Some of us have been waiting for orders that we placed back in may. We should be the first to get them not someone like you who has three and telling us to chill the hell out!

Wow...everyone was complaining that it took CC a long time to get their product out. Then once its quite a few complained that it dieing left and right. CC stepped out and made corrections to their design rather than sending out more bad escs and yet people are still complaining about not recieving one. People just need to back off CC arse and let them do their job. You guys will get your esc and get a reliable one at that. If you are not happy with their product get a refund and go make your own esc. If you are not able to do that then just sit patiently and it will come.

jayjay283 08.06.2008 11:33 PM

I can assure you it is worth the wait ! You will forgive and forget after the 1st pull of the trigger. Check your email , Ive seen several claims across the net of notices received today of shipment.

well said:yipi:

I think some people here need to spend some more time having someone play with their "toy". Maybe then they would spend less time worrying about when they will get their ...toy

gramey 08.07.2008 06:11 PM

It ain't like we are waiting on some kind of life saving drug. We are driving toy cars. If you are that impatient, go drop $400 on an MGM so you can drive your car and quit your bitchin.

Strange you should say that as that's exactly what I've done, MGM 16018 on it's way!!!

In case anyone was wondering what "sycophants" refered too, here is the definition:

"A sycophant (from the Greek συκοφάντης sykophántēs) is a servile person who, acting in his or her own self interest, attempts to win favor by flattering one or more influential persons, with an undertone that these actions are executed at the cost of his or her own personal pride, principles, and peer respect. Such a manner is called obsequiousness"

Ordered mine from Impaktrc, wondering how long more do I have to wait

tc3_racer_001 08.09.2008 06:46 AM

hopefully not as long as i will have to wait (ordered through someone else who ordered through here, and its international :()

but i like castle products when im using them, more reliable than any other brand IMO (and no, i didnt get a v1!)

phatmonk 08.09.2008 07:43 AM

If I had a extra you bet I would sell it:great: but I have a Matrix Pro and 8T and a couple of Neu motors that are waiting:rofl:

macr0w 08.09.2008 09:30 AM

I hope Patrick or someone with Castle will read this and respond.

I got my V2 MMM last week on Monday. I installed it in my buggy and it seems to run fine.

Last night I pulled the case apart to check things out inside and to vent the case where the caps are. I also wanted to Dremel the bottom of the case were the fan connector rubs against it. When I got her open I found the fan wire was cut almost in half. It was bare copper and very close to shorting out. It was jammed between the board and the case.

There is really no path for the wire to get through. I had to take the wires out of the connector and shrink wrap them and put them back in. I notched the case so the wire wouldn't get pinched anymore. But I'm sure you will get a few failures because of this.

I know some guys were running the fan from an external source. They are just running the fan wires through a hole in the case to the receiver. Which my still be an option for me. We'll see how it holds up with my mod.

After seeing the same thing on the V1, I hoped there would have been a remedy for this problem on the V2. I guess the remedy is in the above paragraph.

Sneaky Pete 08.09.2008 11:09 AM

+1!! I am still waiting on getting my hands on a MMM, but a guy I was talking to mentioned the EXACT same issue. We were both hoping this was addressed on V2.

So, if Castle doesn't come up with something, can you post some pics, macr0w? Or anyone else that has addressed this issue? (BTW, I don't plan on running the fan from an external source.)

hoovhartid 08.09.2008 12:06 PM

briang posted his solution....

It depends on your point of view I suppose as to whether you deem it to be attempting to start flaming or merely expressing my disappointment at the never ending wait for a product.

Hopefully there won't be the same delays when the 2009 Camaro comes over here.

I'm just hoping looking at phatmonk's avatar that he doesn't get to the gas tank first!

FG101C 08.09.2008 04:29 PM

Look I like Castle products, but I don't understand how a company can produce such a rock solid product (Mamba Max) then turn around and produce an "improved" product and it have so many issues.

To me it would seem that the MMM should just be a basic beefed up version of the MM. The MM seems to be alot more simple of a design. As they say, "Keep it simple stupid", works for me.

macr0w 08.09.2008 07:50 PM

I don't have a good shot of the fan wire. I tried a few shots but they were all crappy.

On another note, I just got MMM V2 #2 in the mail today. That's both of mine in the same week.

Now it's Neu/MMM Powered buggy and truggy.
Thanks Castle. :mdr:

Good luck with them macr0w! Let us know how they do for you!

TexasSP 08.09.2008 09:09 PM

Got about an hours worth of running on my V2. Mixed terrain, grass, asphalt, dirt, etc. Running 6s/2.5d in the maxx with the on board bec and everything has been fine. Haven't temped the ESC but the fan has yet to come on. Motor has stayed under 170 though. Definitely glad to have that buttery smooth response and my brake/throttle curves back as well.

RBMike 08.09.2008 09:36 PM

I'm thinking with 6S we might not need the fan at all.
