Thanks, thats pretty quick:smile: Whats your runtime like?

brushlessboy16 05.03.2008 06:56 PM

I Gunned it at 48 on a freshly repeaked pack and cool motor and esc.
I am getting about 25 minutes of Runtime till the cutoff
im on my second set of rear tires already though. :D

rcmonkey 05.03.2008 07:05 PM

As in 48mph?:surprised: Sweet

brushlessboy16 05.03.2008 08:13 PM

Indeed 48 mph. i realized i never actually did have my pack peaked... i had it at 4.1v per cell. i just set the charger to delta peak and the cells are each at 4.19

Five-oh-joe 05.03.2008 08:22 PM

What kind of temperatures are you seeing on the motor, ESC and batteries?

brushlessboy16 05.03.2008 08:24 PM

Ugh well my temp gun got trashed(spilled epoxy on it..) but the batteries had absolutely NO heat in them, the esc was pretty warm but i could hold i finger on it. the motor was HOT. but that was partially my fault b/c i increased timing on it.

rcmonkey 05.03.2008 08:35 PM

Was the motor running cool before you increased the timing?

brushlessboy16 05.03.2008 08:45 PM

it was hot, but i could hold a finger on it for a few seconds. im gonna fiddle with the esc to find the sweet spot

rcmonkey 05.03.2008 08:58 PM

Hmm, do you think maybe the motor is a bit fast?

brushlessboy16 05.03.2008 09:08 PM

it could be, but mind you this motor has no heatsink, no fan on it, same with the esc (yet) running on 5s. you cant expect it to stay ice cold :D

Five-oh-joe 05.03.2008 09:09 PM

So the zippy packs work good then? I was considering them for some of my RCs (and possibly a big project)...:mdr:

brushlessboy16 05.03.2008 09:25 PM

definately!! i love mine, that and the imax b5 charger is awesom too

rcmonkey 05.04.2008 10:40 AM

Could you measure the distance between the mounting holes on the front? I may have come up with a cunning plan.

brushlessboy16 05.04.2008 11:56 AM

Right now im at my Nana's house with the raze, ill scan the little spec sheet that came with the motor for you. What might this plan b?

Ive run 2 packs through the raze today, my rear tires are slicks now... but the problem is i keep losing hardware... never to be found again

BL_RV0 05.04.2008 01:56 PM

Maybe have Mike make you a heatsink to put on the spinning part of the motor, then it would also create a huge fan blowing on all other components which should (hopefully) make them run cooler as well. May totally not work but it was worth throwing it out there.
