You are gonna FREAK out when you drive this!

Can you imagine how quiet it's going to be?

TruckBasher 11.09.2008 08:12 PM

I cant wait to FREAK out....but I have to be patient, still need to wait for a couple of parts including the MMM.

Not sure how quite it is but rolling it on the floor, you can hardly hear the diff gears rolling.

A few things I need to look at is the springs, this thing is still too light (no batts loaded yet) and I think green spring is still stiff enough for the front suspention even if I put the batts in. Another thing is the E-Revo chassis is longer than the Slayer and the HARDCORR body needs to be trimmed on the front for the wheel to fit nicely...they are monior stuff I guess

:surprised: WOW, I'm sorry I missed this killer build..

Great job sir.. I hope your missing parts come in soon.. Really looking forward to watching the progress unfold from here.. Subscribed!!!:intello:

TruckBasher 11.10.2008 08:34 PM

Thanks Shaun..but this is nothing compared to your conversions... Xterminator 5000  so who won the naming competition

Yeah I hope so too but earliest would be 3rd week of Nov for the decals and MMM are still MIA  Nooooooo

Maybe I'll just try my 16025 if this got completed and MMM is still missing....

Have a good one....

George16 11.10.2008 09:07 PM

Jeff, how long does it take for you to receive stuff from Castle?

Anyway, can't wait to see it running.

TruckBasher 11.11.2008 01:19 AM

Lito this is the first time I send something to CC. I send it to Oct 26 and no word where it is. I just mailed CC support to check if they have received the items. The shipping contains 2 MMM, hopefully it already arrive at CC.

TruckBasher 11.21.2008 10:15 PM

When it rains it pours....luckily for me they are good news. I was contacted by the vendor that my custom decals were finished and ready for pickup. After I got them, dropped by LHS to pickup some paints and when I got home the 2 MMMs are waiting for me...

I just finished my MMM mount (nothing special) and I got to put on all the internal decals on the body so its ready for painting.

Pics to come....

MetalMan 11.22.2008 12:44 AM

Can't wait! You probably are more anxious than I am, though.

BL_RV0 11.22.2008 01:03 AM

Lookin' good!

Thanks

Anyway, here is the ESC mount. I know its a bit close to the motor but I plan to put some high density foam before mounting the esc to reduce vibration. Motor wires will definitely be short, in fact I just need to solder 6.5 plugs and she is ready to connect to MMM...

Servo is on its way but need a couple of softer springs, they are yet to be ordered

Body painting just finished although it didnt turned out the way I want it to be but for bashing it should be enough.. (no photo yet cause its still drying :whip: )

sikeston34m 11.22.2008 10:39 AM

Drool!!!!!!!!!!!

TruckBasher 11.23.2008 09:46 AM

Just finished the body...not the best thing in the world but it should serve its purpose  I didnt realize doing those internal decals where tougher than I thought it would be...

I bought this body when I started the project and I just realized that this is a body for SLASH not SLAYER :oh:, so I might need to trim here and there to make it fit well with the E-Revo mounts , front and rear bumpers....

SnoopMaxx 11.23.2008 11:40 AM

That is absolutely bjutifull :love::love:

TruckBasher 11.24.2008 04:58 AM

Next the Servo should arrive as well as the softer springs...
after that....Testing begins :yipi:

MetalMan 11.24.2008 11:31 AM

Here's another body idea for you later on - the SC8 body has a longer wheelbase than the regular Slash/Slayer body. This could be a good option for the E-Revo's longer wheelbase.

The body looks great! Nice short wires, too!
