Sunny will be in trouble once I get the hang of drag racing :lol:. Watch out Sunny :whistle:.

Thanks guys! Some of the fastest RC cars on a consistent basis can be found in RC drag racing. I made it to the 2008 IMDRA Worlds semifinals and lost to the eventual TFE winner. 80mph+ in 132' in under 1.6s is the norm for these beasts with the top racers hitting 90mph - 100mph.
Lutach, all I can say is I'd love to line up against you any day. It'll be a blast and the best racer always wins. Fair 'n square. I have a very keen interest in the CC 9000kV motor for RC drags. Right now I run 7700kV motors on 3S, just like pretty much 75% - 80% of the electric RC drags world. With a good lipo the 9000 should be quick... or at least I hope so. RC speed maniacs and Castle Creations seem to be a good fit. Edit: here's a couple of my favorite RC drags videos: 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqi1r...eature=related 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uzLmZ-QEkU |
@patrick
this new motor that's between cm36 and a 1512 is it going to be 4 pole and would it be more efficient like the neu based motors you have for the mamba monster combos? Oh i found a picture of the new cm36 motors and i have to say that the new connectors look the muts nuts. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...r/parts015.jpg I wonder has the efficiency of these motors been improved also with these upgrades. |

Still not over 9000
http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=vq5csKvXCT4 What about dismountable motor with solder tabs ? I have read that it's planned that you should be able to have some ROAR allowed motor for 2009 (I mean new rule). But racers didn't like sealed motor, |
aparently I have one of the "new" style of motors, I can't tell any diffrence in the rotor from my old one, but the bearings are bigger, the stock ones are metal sheilded, but I blew the front bearing so I replaced both of them with new ones.
