11t pinion is the smallest you can fit with the 2200kv Motor.

Your steering rod end popped off....
Looks good mystro, the new mount is lightyears ahead of your other ones.

Fixed the unbalanced problem by using fishing lead weights :) Works really well.

I take the steering rod of when its not in use because it doesn't turn left when there is no power.

One little problem i'm having is that i'm not getting much range with my DX2.0 Radio. I can drive the car about 40metres up my road until it starts to glitch. Ariel sticks out the body shell and batteries are fully charged....it may be the powerlines, but i would have thought being a 2.4ghz system it would go ALOT further than that.

Mystro 09.29.2009 02:01 AM

Yeah mate sounds good. Will the tyres stay on using 5s?

Mystro 09.29.2009 02:01 AM

Also what springs are you using on your ST? My springs are too soft.

BL_RV0 09.29.2009 09:26 AM

Yeah- the front springs are too soft on the ST. I hear that hellfire springs fit, but I use the stockers with about 15mm of preload.

jas21373 09.29.2009 10:03 AM

hey try these out ,may get a set myself.

Hi all, I am also in the last stages of converting my Hyper ST. I got the Hyper motor mount from RC-Monster and after checking with Mike which battery tray to order I am now waiting for that one to be delivered. I had started to make my own tray from High Density PolyEthylene but I wasn't satisfied with the fit. The motor is a Castle Creations 1500 series 1800kv motor.

Here are some pictures:

Space is really tight in the front near the battery. I was thinking about moving the battery to the rear of the car, but I still think the car will be better in balance with the battery in front.

I'm waiting for a bodyshell, but the ST is now finished.
