Dafni, since im a lipoly newb, could you show me the website you got those batts from , and the charger your using? 1 last question, i see that lipoly batts come with 2 plugs? (1 deans and the other is different- whats this plug used for? ) thanks.

crazyjr 03.07.2006 06:50 PM

Can't wait for the run report Dafni. As said before, Very impressive. Got a weight on it yet?

mt_enthusiast 03.07.2006 10:45 PM

Center Diffs by Dafni. When do you start accepting orders? :dft003: Or will this be one of a kind?

Meticulous and superb!

Dafni 03.08.2006 01:31 AM

Orders will be acceptet as soon as I find someone to open up a business. :) Unfortunately I'm more of a designer person, I'm useless as a sales-man.
But I would love to turn out some products one day, seriously. My head is full of ideas!

Thank you, all of you!

No weight yet, but I hope to be able to borrow a big lab scale today or tomorrow, for some accurate numbers.

Sylvester, those are Maxamps packs, check www.maxamps.com . And I use the Multiplex charger from Mikes store.
Usually the deans plugs are for discharging (speak: run) and the other plugs are for charging/balancig.

Cheers, boys

fantastic conversion dafni....
you make me to come wants to buy a Revo
:)

Dafni 03.10.2006 07:30 AM

Thanks again, boys.

Yes, sylvester, Serum is right. The rear center driveshaft occupies the room under the motor.
I could fit a 99 amp ESC there, but for the 120 amp Micro, it just wouldn't fit. I tested this. This was actually my initial design, but I wanted to keep the motor as low as possible. (now the spur is flush with the bottom of the chassis plate, btw) Plus, the ESC on one side gives a nice balance to the servo.

have you had a chance to drive it yet? how the 1950 perform? im thinking of getting one instead of the xl i had in mind. got any more pics :018:

coolhandcountry 03.10.2006 07:21 PM

The 1950 is a nice motor stampy. I like the one i have. It does a little better than the xl can motors. Then again they cost more to.
