This Ten-T is hyping up to be a nice conversion! Might be the new craze. But I too am surprised that Losi didn't release an electric version. With the craze of electrics and conversions now-a-days I'm actually shocked they didnt. I'm surprised they don't offer an electric truggy either... I sure hope they don't jump the bandwagon soon! I hope Mike can get yet another great product out to this community!
They probably do have something in the works; they just got this out first. Then again, from what I hear about Losi's BL systems, maybe they are waiting until they come up with a better system...

If you do decide to go with 17mm b/truggy wheels, you will need the 14mm to 17mm hex adaptors, which I think Mike is gonna make as part of the kit. I know he's making some for me anyway. :smile:

Personally, I think 8th scale truggy tires would make it look like a MT, which might be ok for bashing since it will offer a bit more clearance.
As i can see if you mount 1/8 truggy tires, they will hit the body:( And it should be geared low :whip:

If there is a way to retain the mechanical brakes, this would be the fastest SCT on the track!

i dont think so, cause if you put the brushless motor where the stock nitro motor is, then you cant fit a battery (maybe 2200mah) Lol
im just gonna use the ESC / motor brake:) That will be harder on motor and esc, but keeps the weight down :lol:

No, you put the motor on the other side. Also you can get away with a small brake servo and weight will be negligible.

Mechanical brakes are not needed imo. A proper setup will perform as good with less complication - the center diff will bias the braking just as it does the acceleration. If nitro could brake the whole diff rather than each half of it, they likely wouldn't use mechanical brakes either. :)

Yes, you are dreaming - I occasionally come up from the work dungeon to eat, sleep and check the forums, though. If I only came on the net when all my planned projects were done, I would never be around! That said, this is a cool little truck and it won't be long before the conversion kit is done. :)

I recieved mine Thursday and have already pulled the engine and electronics. Today I pulled the center diff and filled it with 5k. While I was at it I tried a Losi plastic 45 tooth spur but it does not fit. Wondering what the pitch of the spur really is, Mod 1 seems like it may work but it's not perfect, Mod .8 does not fit very well either. I don't have any 32 or 48 pitch gears to try, it's almost as if it's Mod .9, somewhere between 1 and .8.

Lol, just sold the radio for $180.00 in about fifteen minutes, now if I can get as lucky as BrianG on the engine the roller will be free.

Btw, the formula for finding the pitch is:

Pitch = (tooth_count+2) / (gear_diameter/25.4)

so, losi decided to really do some weird stuff here with the gears. The easiest thing to do would be to convert to mod1 or 32p. But as i said, the diff has to be flipped around, which means the diff has to be raised to clear the chassis. To minimize the amount of height increase of the cd, a revo 40t spur could be used, which is 42mm in diameter. This knocks off 1mm from the radius of the stock spur, which means it will fit without raising the cd much. And the 40t spur with a 12t pinion, along with the 4.41" tires, creates a speed of 30mph@30k rpm. Yeah, a little slow for some, but increasing the pinion to 14t creates a 35mph speed while not gearing up too high. And/or get a motor/voltage combo to get 35k rpm and the 12t pinion gets you 35mph. 14t would get you a little over 40mph.
