thanks luciano Alright guys so how should I go about to "advertise" myself? I have a youtube channel.. an ebay account.. website I just posted an add to central PHX in craigs list Should I go to other forums and throw my flyer up there? A freind of mine said I should put the flyer up on some of my school boards, but I'm not sure how legal that is.. To be honest I have plenty of work cutout for me to do (7 360s waiting to be modded.. along with over 25 controllers), but I think that if I get requests for certain 360s it will help me broaden my skills and make me do things I would have never thought of doing. anyways heres a console I finished up this morning http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/x...es/GOWcase.jpg All it needs is a 360 and it will be complete |
also, some of you mentioned that I should put some pics of my "work area" to show buyers that I do have professional equipment
will these pics work? Honestly it may look cluttered but it has never looked better... http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...2/SDC10485.jpg http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...2/SDC10487.jpg http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...2/SDC10488.jpg thanks |
Is there a XBox 360 forum? That would probably be a good place to post something.

As far as the workspace pix are concerned, I would make the pix look as if you have a professional workspace, and is not some guy working in his kitchen (even if he is.)
The last pic is better. What I would do is take a close up of a 360 board on the machine as if its about to be worked on. The last pic is about like that, but zoom in closer and clean up the board. Looks very dirty. An offset 3/4 view would be more pleasing. Make sure you can't see a dirty worktable or random junk in the background or carpet or anything. Something like this: http://www.digitechems.com/digiteche...s/assembly.jpg or this http://www.febaelectronics.com/UserF...c_boards_6.jpg Looks pro and more trustworthy. Make sure everything looks clean and the pics are well lit and not blurry. |

Well this challenge is not so simple and it will require you to have some refurbishing lines. I sell electronic components to the EMS companies that makes the 360 and PS3. I wouldn't want them to throw some of the 360 that needs repair at you . Let me see what they say first. They might just give me the big NO or just won't say anything. I'll first just mention the cool mods you do. |

Well whatever you can do will be great. I feel comfortable fixing most xbox 360 problems, but I still am waiting on the reball machine. damn shipping from Hong Kong thanks Luciano |

Looks like it was a bit shaky (the last pic) see if you can get it on Macro, and get a nice shot with natural light (from the windows), without flash, level with the machine, this tends to give the best pictures..

that should make it work better. thanks |
small update...
so I cant get this machine dialed in correctly... ive pretty much killed 4 different boards with no real luck and im going off to college in a few months so i dont know what the heck im going to do with this machine.. sure I can keep it in my room, but its going to be cluttered as hell. I dont like giving up on things, but this time in my life does not seem right to be spending hours and hours trying to figure out a machine that really isnt making me a whole lot of money.. right now its not too bad because school is easy, but once school gets difficult I dont know if im going to have the time to be do messing around with the machine. Im still in the process of figuring it out so I have not given up yet, but I got another 3-4 boards to try it on before I may have to end this. |

Thats discouraging. I need my 360 fixed... |
I knew it was going to be challenging, but I also thought I was going to be staying in this house for the next 10 months.. now that im moving in a few months its hard to say what the best decision is. I do not want the machine sitting around for the next 3 years while im at school.
