I deemed the likelihood of having the bolts for the shocks lasting a full race to be 0% - I just had to make a reinforcement

Total weight RTR ? :yipi::yipi:

mckrill 05.06.2010 03:34 PM

Apx 15 pounds = 7.3kgs including all bolts, cales, clips, body etc. I did put it on the scale before the test-run..

mckrill 05.06.2010 03:35 PM

cales = cables if not in a hurry when writing..

nuz69 05.06.2010 03:42 PM

Don't forget to equilibrate your wheels, it's very important for the speed you want to reach. I suppose that the tires are tapped ?

mckrill 05.06.2010 03:45 PM

Hi Nuz

I don't really understand what you mean.. Perhaps it is my English - could you elaborate a little?

nitrostarter 05.06.2010 03:50 PM

Balance the wheels and tires for less vibrations and smooth running.

Taping the tires is a form of belting, like a steel belted radial car tires. It helps resist ballooning at high speed.

nuz69 05.06.2010 03:51 PM

Yes sorry, equilibrate = balance dor me ^^

mckrill 05.06.2010 04:05 PM

Ok, thanks. I was not aware of belting before. It sound like a very good idea. Thanks again.

So, servo in place in a simple & stable way.

In this compartment I plan to fit the receiver Lipo as well.

mckrill 05.06.2010 04:25 PM

This is were it should be placed, but it cannot be in contact with the side shassie as there will be the nuts for the lipo tray sticking out.
