thanx alot! well i haven't tested them yet but the material (hmpe) is tough!
My intention is to make some vids where i use a hammer to test it like some other people did before so i'll do that soon. the truck itselff isnt anywhere near to completion, still waiting for parts, drawing the arms, and the courage to start again... I'll make a new build thread in short on this forum also so you can follow it. cheerz and thanx again for the posi comments, all q''s will be answered overthere ;) |

allright! those are shocks Douwe ;)
|
Thanks for the pic., whats the weight of the shocks and what W oil you will use?
So, they are around 5mm shorter than stock flux from eye to eye.. |

Just to be sure, the shocks are (from top to bottom): - savage nitro shocks - losi XXL shocks (obvious ) - savage flux shocks |

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...&postcount=119 I've used 20-30wt oil with this setup with good results. The lexan piece helps damping as the shock compresses, but allows quicker rebound (due to the relatively light-weight oil). I also use RCRaven springs - they are the best for the LST shocks. -brian |

I will have to do some more research on which oil thickness and also which springs I will use. |
I've also used these shocks with the Raven dual rate springs. Very smooth but even though the shaft is 4mm it's not as strong as the stock Flux shock. I bent plenty of those shafts before going back to stock shocks. The other problem is that the plastic caps tend to rip off under pressure, metal caps might help.
