Tried to use my huge Canyon tires whit the geode wheels but i kept killing the pins on the center driveshaft... They are just to heavy, but they really makes a good scale and hooks up great. And they have great gyro:

Drilled to 8mm: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704717.jpg Found some new descent 23mm wheels! Thundertiger makes some!: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704794.jpg http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704799.jpg Bought some Panther paddles: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704835.jpg http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704842.jpg Didnīt really like how the Pantherīs hooked up in the rear so I bought some Proline 3.2 paddles and mounted on some old 40series 23mm Proline rims, had to cut them quite a bit:rofl:: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704874.jpg Got some Rpm arms finally: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704711.jpg |
And now some carnage!:yipi::
Worn shafts: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704700.jpg Bent the living crap out of a driveshaft: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704706.jpg Snaped the outputshaft inside and outside the gearbox:lol:: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704805.jpg http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704811.jpg http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704817.jpg http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...1426704823.jpg |
Bent the living crap out of the Flm draglink:lol::
http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...26708190/s.jpg This is how i found the truck after a 150 Feet, (no there isnīt a zero to much) to flat . Seemed like the truck was flying for ever and ever and ever. In the gravelpit, they hade made a pile about 135 feet high with a perfect ramp at the top... I just couldnīt not do it. So on the last charge for the day I jumped it. Managed in some weird amazing way jump it four times before it ended up like that. Landed perfectly on all 4īs except that last time:lol:: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/113/_u2/_u...26706249/d.jpg And thatīs about it for now! Happy bashing everyone!:whip::party: |
If I see this, I just have to bow for you, to get all the almost impossible thing done! ;) :)
Those wheels look great, and with a 23MM hex! I only have some 40 series 23MM spare wheels now, I need some tires for these kind of beads: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/pro-line...roducts/369184 Would the Thunder Tiger wheels with that kind of bead? |
What size and bead are those tires?
I am looking for some wheels for 3,8 Mashers, but they only come with a Traxxas bead... Quote:
|
:yes:The Thundertiger wheels uses the same bead as the white 40series wheels above. The Thundertiger wheels are the exact same diameter as the traxxas geode wheels which the Masher 3.8īs is supposed to be mounted on but uses the "old school" bead. You should be able to mount the 3.8 mashers on the Thundertiger wheels mate.
Iīm planning to do exactly that for this summer season. |
Hmm, how do you want to mount the tires on a wheel with another bead?
Cut the outer ring off? Or do you have 40 series tires mashers? |
I would choose to cut the two inner rings I think, so you hava a protective edge against sharp rocks, pebbles and stuff. Nope, 3.8 mashers is what Iīm planning to use. :)
|
Hmm, I am curieus to see pictures of that!
If you see the Traxxas wheels, they don't have the outer ring, but the inner only, so I would cut the outer ring? Otherwise the tire will be sitting trange on the outer bead? Do you have a link or a part number for those wheels? Thanks for the help! |
Thunder Tiger pd7532 :). Yes I understand what you mean but I would still cut the two inner rings and mount the tire inside the outer rings to keep it protected :).

Hello everyone! Time for an update:yipi:.
Have been bashing some, but still too little this summer. Have made a few updates to the truck, New wheels and tires, and a new lid:sarcastic: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/114/_u2/_u...1445370624.jpg http://cdn07.dayviews.com/114/_u2/_u...1445370630.jpg And I finally manage to break my plastic servo mounts!, so i made some new ones from aluminium:party: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/114/_u2/_u...45370660/l.jpg The merv got jealous so i made a similar looking lid for that one too:party: http://cdn07.dayviews.com/114/_u2/_u...1445370636.jpg And one last thing. The setup with the battery tray and everything sits the same as before, but I moved the tranny a bit more to the back so I could use stock lengt xl center dogbones and wonīt have to fab some up every time I break them. Keep on bashing everyone! |
Oh, and here is the vid:party:

Good to hear from you again!
Looks great! How did the Masher plan work out? |
Thank you ruudxd!
I went with some old school v-thread, Traxxas maxx 3.2 tires on the Thunder tiger 23mm hex wheels instead, since they are molded thicker than the new school tires. A friend has some 3.8 mashers layin around, might be looking in to what you are looking for if a chance is given:wink: It will fit :). |
That would be great, unfortunatly I am not in the financial position to buy the tires and wheels and hope they fit.
I personally like the look of the Mashers better then the tires you have on it now, but that is just me. |
